Old School Whigger Kings

Post by Thun »

Today's white hip hop fans have been spoonfed the culture through MTV, the internet, ringtones, and now reality TV. Back in the days, it wasn't so easy - you had to really prove yourself and be both assertive and self-deprecating at the same time. NYC residence or affiliation, hebrew heritage, and industry connections were a plus but not essential; really you just had to have chutzpah. Vote for the one who did it the best.

*Note: Rick Rubin and the Beastie Boys don't count because they paved the way for this second generation and made inroads without relying on their jewish whiggerness.

Rappaport simply because of his real-life role as Zack in Zebrahead.

I don't know that there will ever be a better one that Michael Rappaport. He is so confused that it has been detrimental to his career. His lousy acting doesn't help much, either.

I'm riding with Rappaport as well. It must have killed him inside to play that skinhead in Higher Learning.

I'm surprised he hasn't released a rap album by now

Nothing is more privileged than 90210.
But I'm not gonna lie, it was a good show.

Born in San Francisco, CA, sometime in the late 60's. Dante Ross relocated to New York City in 1970 with his family when he was two.

You want privileges?..this guy had The Bomb Squad producing on his album, I never liked the album and always thought he would only have one album...I was right.

Eric Nies wasn't so much a whigger as he was a proto-Jersey Shore guido though. Close, but no cigar.

Chilly Tee was a really obvious oversight. My bad.
