okay so i have a pretty fuckin hard request that has eluded me for about 14 years.

there was this one joint that got some play back in fall of 94. it was a west coast cut and had the feeling of n2deep's "back to the hotel" but it wasn't.

it had some of the same elements though and one of the verses had a dude talking about hitting up a hotel or party on friday night and cruising in his ride. the hook had something about being safe and sound, which i already know is a quik joint but it wasn't that quik song. i doubt it was a remix either since the dude rapping didn't sound like quik either but it was smooth as fuck and reminded me of dj quik cut yet i'm sure it wasn't him cause dude sounded different. i would imagine it was a single since it got radio play on a mainstream radio station but i don't know who made it. i been searching thru random early to mid 90's west coast shit and i can't find shit.

i only heard it a couple times back then and never thought to call the radio station and ask who it was and i haven't heard it since. i know that's vague as fuck and could qualify as 90% of west coast joints back then, but does anyone know about a track that resembles this? i'll owe you my life if you can come through with this track.

After Ed Catto posted that Merdah "Skunk funk" track , it drived me krayzee , that track is/was/will be fucking ill and i searched for more info about Merdah and i camed up with the myspace of one Merdah/Aphillyation member and i noticed they had two 12"s out.I messaged the guy asap to ask him if he haves extra copy's of the Merdah 12"s cuz i wanna buy them.He sayd hell yeah he haves sum and he can hook me up , just to send him $100.I asked him what he will give me for $100 just to be sure and he told me exactly like this "2 copy's of each merdah 12" + 2 copy's of ruggedness madd drama big boyz 12" ...i thought thats nuts...and a hella great deal , could make over $1000 by selling them but i wasnt lookin for that , i only wanted to hear the Merdah tracks...so next day i sent him $100 through western union ...and thats it.that was in december , before christmas ...and since then i havent got shit.even the god damn mp3's of Merdah ...and i wont ever get them.it's been 6 months since then and he still sayin "sorry man i've been busy , i'll send them next week no doubt" ...thats his line whatever i'm telling him.i got over it , will never see the money back ...will never see the vinyls , will never hear the mp3s.

p.s. : yeah i want that cd , what year is it?

Okay, I'm just looking for a few 12"s - I got the records, but I'm low on technology, so I can't transfer 'em . . . so I'm looking to you all to help a brother out.

Finesse & Synquis: Straight from the Soul
Body & Soul: Dance to the Drummer's Beat / High Powered
Raheem: Self-Preservation
and, since it is nasty hot out now . . .
Doug E Fresh: Summertime

Thanks in advance.
