great post roy! love all of your 'unreleased/b-side' posts.
i actually need a good quality rip of Diamond "Hatred, Passions, Infidelity".
i own it on vinyl, but would like a CDQ rip of that album (192 kbps or better).
all i can find online seem to be 128 or 160 kbps, or they are .wma or .mp4 instead of mp3. could anyone here help me out? it'd be much appreciated!

Nothing is mentioned about rip quality, though.

great comp as usual roy, thank you

the omission of 'when it rains it pours' is kinda questionable though, you could've flexed on the cutoff date a little for that one

I had five tracks from 1998/1999 on the end of Volume 2 that I decided to take off:

AG & Diamond D - Put It In Your System
O.C. - Get Yours
Showbiz & AG - Time To Get This Money
AG - No Where To Go
Diamond D - When It Pours It Rains

I didn't feel like his verses were up to par with all the other shit.

"when it rains it pours"= "mc 2" w/jon doe

they just cut out jon doe's verses for some reason on "when it rains it pours", but the beat/diamond d's verses are the same

Oh, okay. I just threw "MC2" on there because it's the b-side on one of the "Hiatus Remix" records, which was originally released in 1997. That's why I included it; I'm not really a fan of the track.

It was included as a bonus track on the Class A Felony album. Here's an article from rhymestate.com
What a bizarre album... There's virtually no info available on this release at all - and there was absolutely no press done it at all when it was released back in 1993. From reading the liner notes, it appears that this was a collection of tracks made by a guy called Edward Dumar Israel, who was tragically killed in '91 in random street violence - and the results of his years making tracks with his producer C.Smith and his vinyl man DJ Stitches. Only released on CD and cassette, there were a whole load of weird things on here... and it's surprising to see that the 45 King handled production on five of the seventeen songs here.

Why would you be interested in this album, apart from the 'novelty' factor of it being obscure? Well, tacked onto the end is an underground favourite: 'I Can't Take No More' by Diamond D and Lakim Shabazz. A weird collaboration at the best of times, this seems to be Lakim's last track he recorded vocally and Diamond simply uses a rehashed beat from his past. But, it's more than likely that you'll know it and wonder where it had ever come from: and this is the album! Dumar and Stitches don't even appear on this track at all, so it's more like a eulogy than anything else and seems totally out-of-place when stuck next to the other tracks. What else goes on here then? Well, there are a few above-average tracks here (mainly due to 45 King's beats, that were still reeking strongly of Flavor Unit styles at this time): 'Hyped Up' is fast and funky, with mad horns and a weird guitar sliding twang running alongside. 'Hostage' is nice, with a story running throughout and a 'Mission: Impossible' style to the music, and 'Black Rain''Black Rain' is pretty dope with its 'buh, buh' hook in the chorus.
Lakim Shabazz fell off the face of the earth right around 1990, so I'd assume that it was recorded right around that time.

You have the white label? Does it come with an instrumental?

:icedit:

Is this the one that you have?
