Jayo Felony - I'ma Keep Bangin' (Original Version) 1994

Post by WiCkEd22 »

I downloaded the DJ Premier THUNDERSTORM Mixshows from the mid 90's on New York's WBLS here on this site (original post here... http://www.philaflava.com/forum/viewtop ... understorm )... someone had a post with Volumes 2 - 6. On Volume 5, Primo had spun this Jayo Felony joint that didn't sound like the version included on Jayo's debut album or the version on the promo 12" single. I looked through my old tapes cuz I knew I had a RAL (Rush Associated Labels) Sampler from back in '93 or '94, and it turns out, that's where this song is from. I assume this is the Original Version, but for whatever reason, they changed the beat for the version included on the album. I gotta say, the Original Version is 10x better! I will have to upload this song from the tape...

"RAL Spring '94 Sampler" is the official title of the tape and vinyl, and it includes about 10 songs (5 on each side I think) from various artists (Erick Sermon, Domino, Slick Rick, South Central Cartel, Onyx, Mel-Low, Terminator X, etc.)

Not sure. I busted out the tape yesterday and only listened to the Jayo Felony joint. I will post the Tracklisting later this afternoon when I get home from work. I'll listen to the whole thing too to see if there's any different versions of songs.
