I thought the same. When I went back to it years later, I read the credits and saw all the good producers and decided it must be better than I first thought.
No. There's a couple of tracks, but that's about it for me.
But the greatness that is Akinyele makes up for his missteps.
Akinyele The Great.
I remember when i randomly downloaded "Put it in your mouth" back in the day. I was like and
Later i was downloaded Vagina Dinner and listen to it like 10 days without pause. Too bad i haven't heard about him before '98 i think. But i chewed his discogs thoroughly though.

Its fair to say that when I was 17 I was not on point.
didn't really like Aktapuss when it came out. I remember I was heavily dissapointed of that album despite the production credits from Finesse, Buckwild and Dr. Butcher. Never really checked for the Anakonda album either. That unreleased album is great though.
it's funny how a lot of late 90's stuff that i thought was kinda wack and boring then is really good to me now. i guess it's just because of how wack shit is now, huh?
I didn't even know there was a I Luh Hur video- that joint is crazy.
Vagina Diner is a classic, but Large Pro has as much to do with that as Ak. Aktapuss and whatever else followed were terrible- unlistenable. He traded dope beats for porn, to each their own.
Last I heard he went in on a raunchy strip spot in NYC by the West Side Highway- called Hush. Been closed for a minute.
You Better Go Down was my shit- even though he used those lyrics for Put it in Your Mouth.
I found Vagina Diner in a dollar rack at a small record store in Nashville- one of my best come-ups.
