I've probably had 5 or 6 favorites at various points. Right now, my go-to track is "The Evil That Men Do".

ran wit 'nature of the threat', but they whole albums a classic, i like every tune for diffrent reasons, its like a maze of diffrent lyrics of the contradictions of an average brother from the hood, true stories, but for me its usually alternates between 'ordo abchao' and 'nature of the threat' as my favorite, very sick album, certified hip hop classic, trust me on that

the production on soul on ice is underated too, i thought they were sick sounding soundscapes created for ras, from dark, sictrumentals like 'anything goes', 'nature of the threat', 'on earth as it' and 'sonset', too breezy, light up a zoot(spiff) and kick back and relax and see that shit, sunshine type of beats, like 'reelishym' 'miami life' and 'marinatin' and so on and so on, classic production in my book, west coast illmatic to me, don't care what no one says

^agree with you on the production. when i first heard the album i thought the darkness of the instrumentals was brilliant. They were real layered and raw. Bird and Vooodu will always be some personal favorites of mine.

Ordo Abchao was my favorite last listen (about a week ago) but there's no telling what it will be next time.

Kinda changing my mind to 'Evil That Men Do'. Not cause other people said
so, but I was just listening to that shit in my car and remember how great it
is.

Still can't believe cats complain about the beats on this album. They
perfectly matched a lot of the dark shit he was talking.

I do remember being a little disappointed because his earlier singles weren't
on there. But if they were on there, I would have complained that I already
had them shits, so....

Yeah, "Won't Catch Me Running" is still my fav joint by him.

He went in on this lyrics on this album tho. Highly under-appreciated..

^Likewise.
Underrated track that holds up under scrutiny.
Not surprised no votes for Marinatin'
Surprised no votes for If/Then.

When it 1st came out though, "etc" was the one on repeat.

Anyone have the version of "Won't Catch Me Running" with this verse

Stop your flow like its menopause the men all pause
Cramp your style like P.M.S
Suckers checking for lumps in they chest
Like breast cancer
My stanza gets censorship from Reverend Calvin Butts
but he could suck my diction, dictation is ridiculous
indicative of dictatorship
Today's four letter words were standard english until 1066
and ignorance is bliss
So as I sag my Ralph Lauren chaps
Walking into lyrical scraps
I'm knocking niggas off the map
See more stars than astronomy
Not near one can follow me
Thougts premeditated like two Melendez brothers
That's word to the father and the mother
"I spit that thug shit nigga, MOTHERFUCK singing"

between On Earth and Etc.

I notice Miami Life gets a lot of love not just on this thread but all over. I've never liked that track. I always thought it was out of place on the album..

and just a bad song.
