Talib only says "it's the Reflection Eternal... my names Talib Kweli... blah blah Hi-Tek... I got my man Mos Def in the house..."

Sounds like it was recorded around the "Fortified Live" time... 1997... Reflection Eternal. Seems kinda obvious to me.

That Mixtape is from 1999 I believe...

But if THAT dude, DJ Black Panther, has a copy of it, then you know the studio version of the song exists in some format. He played it first on the second side of the tape for a reason... Probably cuz he only had it on Tape, CD or even DAT, and obviously you couldn't "mix" with those formats back then. There wasn't no bullshit Serato/mp3 nonsense back then.

Found this while diggin through tapes today. It's from New York Live but there are no drops or tags and it's infinitely better than the shitty ass copy that's been floating around on the net for years.

 Pretty dope track. I've had a version with shitty quality for years. Quality sounds a lot better. I'm not a huge Black Star fan, but this is nice.

Good lookin out man....I'm still fresh in the game around here and haven't posted anything in months so I had to hit ya'll. Plus I know I been lookin for this joint for years online and it's been that same bs copy from that mixtape for like 8 years. I figure why not share b/c I know others were probably searching as well.

I do have another J-Treds treat (as long I still have the tape) to post as soon as I get to it.

This is like those spam comments you see on boards and blogs where you know it's spam but you can kinda make out words or phrases that make sense together. Great post man.
