Sup fellas... I'm at work on a sunday (Yeah I know, my life sucks), so I decided to search for anything I could find about the ALPS CRU... And I'm bored as fuck, I could only find rapidshare links, and none of them is working for me... So if you have any material, thanks in advance! ;-)

some of you may have the Ill Kid Jumbo Sampler which there is a track on it called HL Rock - Put You On Lockdown. it haves a sample with Guru's voice sayin' "Welcome to your new home punk, i hope it's confortable". can anyone tell me from where this part is? sounds more like a line from a movie rather then a song.

thanks a lot.

The only movie I can think of Guru being in was Whos The Man (1993), it's possible that Guru just said that line on the HL Rock track.

He was also the villain in either The Substitute or Substitute 2. Whichever
one had the "Miami Life" video at the end of the VHS.

Agreed.

Yooooo... nice!
So much better than the vinyl version.
The vinyl one seemed too fast and the drums sounded way above
the samples. This demo is mixed down so much better. Weird.
And it's nice not having the group's ad libs on there.
Thanks, man.

Yeah, sometimes I think demos should be left alone and released as the official version. But I suppose from a producer's pov a record should be "produced". I like the stripped down quality w/Twiz just rhyming; that slight studio echo in the vocal mix makes it sound even more spacious.

Long time no see man.

Well, you couldn't have been looking all that long for the Hiatus remix instrumental, that shit gets posted all the time. Good luck with the other two though (search results for both of those are slim and none).

Speaking of videos, I haven't seen this one since some underground 2am
video show back in the mid 90's.
Video was in black and white, I'm pretty sure:
Magic Juan - You Don't Gotta Clue (ft. Trendz Of Culture)
