Black Moon (name origins)

Post by Espirando »

Does anyone here know where they got their name from? Was it a movie? Because I know a couple Black Moon's.

No clue.

All I know is that when Finsta was in the group they went by "High Tech," they changed the name shortly after he left the group, and "Black Moon" is allegedly an acronym for "Brothers Lyrically Acting and Combining Kickin' Music Out On Nations" (Thanks, ego trip!).

Yeah, they're called "backronyms"

I think KRS ONE came up with the best one.

Here's an excerpt from Brian Coleman's Check the Technique (that I had to take with a camera since I don't have a scanner):

Word props, didn't know that about High Tech or Unique Image. Oh and that's true actually, they talk about everything else in the first Deep Crates (or maybe all of it and my memory's bad). Been meaning to get that book though, Check the Technique.
