Redman - Can't Wait (Pete Rock's Jazz Mix)

File: http://www.mediafire.com/?hdmd0x2dwkm

Time: 4:35
Size: 10.52 MB
Quality: 320 kbps
Vocals: Redman "Can't Wait" (Acapella)
Beat: Pete Rock "Pete's Jazz" (Instrumental)

This remix was created by me using original vinyl on two 1200's and my Rane mixer recorded straight to my TDK CD Recorder. And btw, I was inspired by that Vaporized cat who does this shit. I figured why not give it a shot and see what I come up with.

Here's a little video clip of this remix being made live!

I dig it. It reminds me how much I miss Redman. If I hadn't played his stuff so much before, I could just pretend this is new material and he still had it.

And see folks, you don't need no Serato or any Computer programs or anything like that to make a remix. For guys like me, the original way is the best way. Word up!

haha Good shit, thanks. It took like 10 tries til I got it perfect. The beat works really well here, almost like it was meant to be. I might actually burn this to CD and play it in a mix or something? We'll see.

So you weren't really feelin the Redman? That one was tougher and the beat was not a "prefect fit", but hey, it was my 2nd try. I first tried the Bahamadia "I Confess" acapella over Pete Rock's "Play Dis Only At Night" from PeteStrumentals, which did work great, but getting it correct from the begining was the hard part... I gave up! Bahamadia sounds like a good fit over a Pete Rock beat too.

And here's a remix I actually made back in 2005. I was just mixing at home, pretty much practicing, when I mixed these two songs together, and for some reason I got the idea that maybe the Nas acapella might fit nicely over the Tony Touch beat. I tried it and it worked!! haha It was totally a random thing too because I never fuck with this remix shit. Anyways, big ups to my man DJ B-Side for his help, and for adding that shit at the end along with the extra gun shots. Check it out...

haha.. yeah, it's hard to get it right using real vinyl as you need to do everything yourself at the right time. And you're right, it definitely sounds like an original track! lol

Word, the De La one came out really good. The bars were lined up perfectly, so the beat changed exactly when the hook came in, and went back once the verses start. Really dope, its really like a remix as opposed to just a blend.
