^^I don't think anybody cracked this code yet. Coincidentally, it's on a Stretch & Bob tape from 97 that I'll be ripping soon, but I think Digital Stimulation upped this last year at Verge's request. Most likely a demo.

Discussed here: http://www.philaflava.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=114504

Some clues are "Akira", "scientists of sound" and "schism" (or "skizzm"?)

Is this from the same Stretch show?

Word, I believe it's definitely a demo called "Test tube Child" by someone named "Akira". That's about as far as we could ever get in id'ing that one.
Great track.
Looking forward to hearing that night again, I don't remember what else they played at all. Matter fact, I might not have even ever heard that full night.

Hmmm..if it was Schism, he's from "Da Grass Roots" I believe, from Canada. Had an ill ass track called "Black Dove". I'd have to listen to both tracks again to hopefully be able to tell.

Stretch was away, so we all know what that means... :gyeah: It's actually from a show already upped but missing the first hour where Bob deejays. Soon come...

Word, I heard Black Dove and tried to compare the two. Inconclusive?

I'm thinking the date of the Stretch/Bob tape you're referring to is 8-7-1997.

I was about to ask, is this Hec Teck that used to phone in on the regular? Regardless, welcome to the boards.
We can always arrange ways to have those tapes digitized for you(and us, lol), if you were interested in doing so.

I'm not Hec Teck the caller...just a music junkie like the rest of ya'll. Definitely appreciate the knowledge that is spread here..figured it was time to contribute after watching from the sidelines for a while.

Reminds me a bit of Last Emperor flow wise but it's definitely not. Dope shit, thanks, I hope someone can id it.
Hold up, I hear an accent, could it be those South African dudes with that Fondle 'Em record?
Or maybe Funky DL or Stixx? Not Lewis Parker.
I dunno, just throwing ideas out there that can maybe spark someone's memory...

At the request of bad-cop I ripped this from the 1/23/97 Stretch & Bobbito show. I think we'd still like to know what it is, where it's from, if it was released, etc.

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 312868-3fb" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist? ... 312868-3fb" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>

about all's we know is this:

I'm thinking it's too short to be an intended release, prolly an exclusive promo for Stretch's Lesson 1? :killacam:

Definitely sounds like a promo like you said. Next time I harass Stretch about that WKCR list, I'll send him this link to try to get some info. I'm a slow mover though so if anyone else is friends with him on FB, feel free to do so.

track with chorus scratches as follows:
'ive never been afraid to let loose my speech / making funky music is a must' (from G Starr - Code of The Streets and BDP - Still #1)

think it might be Ten Thievez. If some could confirm (and upload it) would be appreciated
