FUTURE FLAVAS W/Marley Marl & Pete Rock thread..

Post by william g. »

Since it looks like the STRETCH & BOBBITO thread has slowed down a ton maybe we can get a FUTURE FLAVAS thread jumpin.

I'll start with a couple shows..

Here's the 2004 ODB tribute show

Here's show without PR but still great nonetheless..

Well,i thought it was a good idea but i guess nobody has any FF shows.

Ton's of Stretch & Bobbito shows but no FF shows.

I was going to add some more FF shows but nobobdy else is adding to the thread.

Oh Well

Here's a cassette rip of Pirate Radio which used to come one WBLS Saturday night/Sunday Morning at midnight. I used to think of it as almost the same as Future Flavors because the format was about the same, except the show was without commercial breaks. This was on New Years Day of 1995, LL Cool J was in the house and Pete played some of the best of 95 in Big L, Smif N Wessun, Ol Dirty Bastard. Channel Live and more.

<object height="81" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf ... e"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="81" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf ... _url=false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object>

I've got some more fresh shit from Hot 97 Future Flavors coming, I look forward to what people have to offer, I never heard that ODB dedication show before.

the problem with these futureflavas posts are that the same shit is always posted from different sites. who has the shows that havent been posted before? futureflavas after 2000 isnt really worth posting. just like stretch and bob on hot 97 isnt worth posting. futureflavas was hot from 94-98 and stretch and bob on hot 97 was a waste of time.

Aw damn, I forgot about the download link william. I will upload another copy this week to a sharing host for you. I think I accidentally disabled the download option at my soundcloud account for that audio file, and that action is irreversible.

Here's that Pirate Radio william, the one from my soundcloud you couldn't download. I tried to upload it last night but my damn Mac crashed just before I could copy the link. I will have a re-up of the AG show sometime this week plus another show with Akinyele.

I'd like to see a radio cassette thread for Evil Dee's Monday Night Flavor Mix, if people have tapes from that. I'm still amazed by the DJ skills he showed back then, plus his record selection.

An interview, freestyling and comedy by Akinyele up at Future Flavaz, sometime in the late 90's during his sophomore album Aktapuss.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YX4J0RDH

Ak sounds like he's really loving life in this interview, almost to the point of insanity lol. I didn't really know what to expect from him as a guest at this point, after he went from The Bomb and Live at The BBQ into that sexaholic phase. I don't blame him in getting it in with the females as much as possible as an MC now that I look back, there's much worse examples of it in the history of Hip Hop. I still have yet to pick up Akatapuss, but I think I'ma check it out now, whoever has heard it, let me know.
