Nice Step! That one Mastermind tape I was after was Tape #38. Luckily Mastermind just finished digitizing all his mixtapes not too long ago and tweeted about it. My man got at him and Mastermind was nice enough to send him 2 Data DVD's with rips of Volumes 1-49 + cover scans!! My boy hit me off with them but said Mastermind didn't want them posted but I will see what I can do...

Always liked his tapes as they were nicely mixed and he didnt over do it with the scratching. They had a decent amount of tracks on them aswell so I used to cop one and then figure out what was worth getting on 12".

Shame he doesnt want them posted though, unless he's planning to charge for them. I noticed PF Cuttin is charging ridiculous amounts for CDs of his old mixes.

Here's a 2 hour set PETE ROCK did on SOUL ASSASSINS radio last year.

Pete played some exclusives, which i believe a couple of those PR produced joints still haven't been released.

Pete does some nice mixing on this set..Some talking too.

Been a huge fan of the TROY blog for a while and just recently got with the program and signed up for this forum......my loss for sleeping on it! Anyways, here's a mix I just finished that should fit right in around here. I bill it as "An attempt to combine rap nerd scholarship with DJing craftsmanship."

Also, big up to Step One for stockpiling this thread with heat!

What's up guys? Looking for some feedback on this mix. This is the first mix I have made in a long time. My boy asked me to make a mix to help promote his new clothing line. I may or not use this as the final mix for him. I like the way it came out, but I always like feedback. If anything, this will just be the first installment.

My graf tag from back in the days was stypeones, and has always been my DJ name too, so that's what will come up on the ID tag, but it's me. I learned to DJ from listening to Kid Capri, Stretch and Riz more-so than anyone else. You will def hear their influence in my style. Light on the cuts on this one because it was not needed but future mixes will def have them.

Enjoy!

Nice T/L, haven't had a chance to have proper listen yet but like what I've heard so far. We seem to have a the same taste in artists and tracks.

More please...
