History of the Cracker Jax (Zeekers, Spontaneous, etc...)

Post by kevin beacham »

Man, I just realized I haven't been here in months! What up peoples! Been so crazy busy...

Here's an interview I did with the Cracker Jax! I have been wanting to know their story for years so I was excited about it. Part 1 up now, part 2 (thursday), & part 3 (friday).

I got a bunch more coming!!

Nice, always wondered about the lesser known LONS affiliates.

Thanks for this! The name Cracker Jax was kinda familiar but i didn't know it was the guys from the LONS records, and somehow i always had assumed Cool Whip Brittle Lo was one person..

Already looking forward to the other 2 parts of the interview

thanx peoples! Part two is up now: http://bit.ly/gFBAwr

They really explain the connection with LONS, the "deal gone bad" with Pete Nice, and they other misc record deals/opportunities that all fell thru.

Plus a rare video of a performance of Spontaneous in 2011!

more to come!

Nice.

Always wondered why Cracker Jacks was reversed on the 3rd Bass track "Ace In The Hole"

I'm a huge LONS fan, and am always game for info on the New School Society. Rumpletilskinz album remains a sleeper of the 90's

Anyone have the Flex promos that Cool Whip did?

Also wouldn't mind hearing some demos/unreleased tracks from the New School Society era. :gyeah:

I'll ask Cool Whip about the promos. I'll probably talk to him again in the next couple weeks.
