I have the show recorded on my Sirius device, but Stretch barely talked for like 30-45 seconds and that was it. He mentioned the Artifacts and how
they had called their show back in the day and then they ended up coming on the next week or some shit. That's basically it. Do you still want that part?

Ok, i caught the show when Stretch was a guest and talked for a few seconds, the week before last, right?

But isn't he dj'ing the whole show April 8th?

For some reason i thought he did the whole show last friday, which was March 25th.

I didn't get to listen to last friday's show..

Yeah naw, last Friday was DJ Finesse again. I miss Preem having DJ JS-1... I think he's my favorite "fill-in" DJ, but of course Finesse is dope and it's always nice when Eclipse fills in too. Lookinf forward to Stretch and also Da Beatminerz. I think Snoop Dogg is gonna be the guest this Friday too which is pretty cool. I'll have to get on-air and talk to the D-O-Double-G.

Stretch & Bobs B-Side Radio Show wit Jeru & Primo 96

Post by Wicked »

The B-Side was a show Stretch & Bobbito had on Hot 97 in New York in 1996, that ran quadra-monthly. Episodes include guests A Tribe Called Quest & Consequence promoting the 'Beats Rhymes and Life' LP, Jeru The Damaja & DJ Premier promiting the 'Wrath Of The Math' LP, and Redman promoting the 'Muddy Waters' LP.

The B-Side with Redman - http://www.divshare.com/download/13207845-fbe

Props to Nes at the Dirty Waters Blog for all these goodies... http://dirtywaters.blogspot.com/2011/03 ... -side.html

words from Bobbito on The B-Side Show...

"The B-side show, if I remember correctly, only happened these three times. It was sort of an experiment to get me and Stretch on more prime time, during Angie's weekday evening slot. It went over well with everyone. It was kind of like a showcase of anticipated albums from artists who were known from our corner of the world. I think that'd be like 8pm to 9pm? I don't really remember (the time slot). Our Sunday, 'Boogie and the Barber', show on hot was from 11pm to 1am.

Another thing you may want to search for is me and Stretch doing the subbing for Ed Lover and Dr. Dre's morning show on January 1, 1997. I can't remember why they couldn't do it, but people were absolutely buggin' to hear us that early (started at 5am i think until 8am) on prime time. We were just ourselves, acting stupid, snapping, all that. I can't remember, but I don't think stretch dj'ed, the station just played their regular playlist and we talked a lot. I don't have a recording though . . ."

Wow, at the very end of the show with Jeru and DJ Premier, they're talkin over the "Robin Hood Theory" beat...

Justice blessed us with this def Buckwild mixtape from 92. Not sure if it was posted elsewhere but I don't think so. I know most joints but feel free to add on the track list. Either here or better yet at Dirty Waters comment section.

I honestly never realized(though it makes complete sense) that Buckwild was putting out mixtapes in 92... even though i was buying mixtapes here and there back then. Enjoy!

 Dope blend.

@krisch: Thanks for the offer but if it's mostly RnB then don't bother(nothing wrong with it, it's just that the mixtapes that were really bad from back then kinda completely ruined 90's RnB for me, lol). Unless anyone else would be interested. Thanks though, appreciated.

Good looks on the tracklisting Verge! I'm wondering if those party breaks are the product of Kenny Dope? Track 8 is Get the Fist by Get the Fist Movement which featured King Tee, MC Eiht, YoYo, Ice Cube, Kam, B-Real and J-Dee from Da Lench Mob. Discogs link here: http://www.discogs.com/Get-The-Fist-Mov ... ase/268383. Thanks for posting Verge. I'll try and have a go at Side B's tracklisting this week.

I had a quick listen this morning on the way to work and got as far as the LOTUG cut.

The 2 tracks were one of the instrumental mixes from Zhigge's 'Rakin' In The Dough' 12" and one of the mixes from Afrika Bambaataa's Time Zone 'Zulu War Chant' 12".

Haven't got as far as track 13.
