I put all the links in order a few months back and posted them in this thread, I'll update it again soon. But yeah, it is time consuming.
FYI, Skeptic, that links list you put together was invaluable. I use it all the time for reference, good looks. As I mentioned I've been maintaining a list myself (w/o links) of all the known posted shows only. I'll make it available once I get this latest pile of tapes ripped. I'm also making note of which shows have not been added to the blog, so it'll be easy work updating the site when the time comes.

To say Nes from dirtywaters has been a help in id'ing shows would be an understatement; dude's been doing more than his share of research ever since nobs started passing me tapes. Speaking of which-

Sept. 4, 1997. Guests: Ruthless Bastards, Mysterme, K-Off. The movie "Sling Blade" makes for an annoying recurrent theme...

Props to nobs and steve for the tapes; Nes for the last minute date (I labeled it 9_97 cuz I wasn't sure).
christopher walken wrote:was there a show either late 94-95, where both the Roots and Redman were on? or perhaps it was the Roots over a Redman beat?
Don't recall if there was such a show. Don't have my list with me but off the top I don't believe a Roots-Redman show has surfaced yet. Black Thought appeared many times; maybe he rhymed over a Redman track, idk...

Stretch & Bobbito 9-21-1995

Side A
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ETINTSQC

Side B
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WKM7QSC8

http://dirtywaters.blogspot.com/2011/05 ... -1995.html

Bobbito, Lord Sear, and DJ Jab hold it down in Stretch's absence for this show in September, 1995. Bobbito plays a variety of new (at the time) and old school hip hop, as well as a few promos and demos here and there. First two hours of this show- Highlights include classic 1994 Wordsworth and Punchline demo produced by the Trackmasters.

*The A-side sounds fine, but the B-Side has an overwhelming ringing throughout, and nothing all that exclusive played, so I'm just putting it up for those who might want to check it. Personally, I would say just grab the A-Side here, unless you're a completist. Thanks again to Greg T for this one.

* update: Anttex and the Click 'As the World Turns' is actually the track havoc was on, was not a Poetical Prophets/Mobb Demo, big up Aleph for knowledge

2-18-96 (2nd hot 97 show)

the date on this is debatable. Non phixion wasn't in studio on here, so maybe this is not show/song. I think most of the shows I posted are already on the forum, but you can check here http://dirtywaters.blogspot.com/search/ ... %20Bobbito for all the Stretch & Bob I posted. I re-upped a lot of them couple months ago so links should still work.

Has this show been posted here?

edit: OK, I found it, i have the date as Thursday, March 7th, 1996, I think that's the one Eclipse gave us..

SnBShowCollector wrote: i was wondering, do any of the shows in this thread feature any non phixion demos? like ones that werent officially released. some non phixion demos were played on wkcr back in the day but the people who leaked them only leaked like really short snippets in horrible quality. tracks like "spaces around me", "department of forensics", "whispers", etc.
If there's demos, I find them, separate them and post them in compilations for everyone here. I've lagged behind and have about 30-40 demos still to label and post... But no, I haven't heard any NP demos played yet, they look promising.

Courtesy of nobs & steve, re-rip of 1995 demo show first posted by serch4beatz last yr. Missing first hour; caught last part of Mighty Mi set, followed by the Oreo Cookies. Possible date: March 23, 1995.

After the last track on Steveג€™s tape (Bring It On) presumably there was at least another hour or so of the show. From my own tape of that night I have SOMג€™s Cab Fare followed by the Organized set at Rocksteady ג€™94, which I include herewith. There were other joints but nothing that isnג€™t available elsewhere, i.e. Juggaknotsג€™ Clear Blue Skies, El-P & J-Treds freestyle from 94, more of the KMEL Casual/Saafir battle.

Hahaaa.. Who woulda thunk Kid Hood had more than that one legendary historic verse on the Scenario Remix??!!
<object width="480" height="190"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mQBr5rkWHLY?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mQBr5rkWHLY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="190" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
whooooooo-weeee

And here's part 2 of the demo extravaganzas:

01. Parallax - WKCR Dj Scrappy Promo [ft. J Treds]
02. Gary Storm and Nova - Times Is Gettin Harder [demo]
03. KID HOOD - Drop The Bomb [demo]
04. Kool Keith - Cold Peein On Em [demo]
05. God Forbid - Set It [demo]
06. Akira - Test Tube Baby [demo]
07. Adagio - Boy And Girl Tale [demo version]
08. Otherized Fam - Mugshots [demo]
09. Pop - For Real [demo]
10. Unknown - Peanut Butter (ft Lord Sear)[demo]
11. Shadows In The Dark - Beyond A Shadow Of A Doubt [demo]
12. J Treds - Piece Of Mind [Planet Earth no hook demo]

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B8Q9XU0K

Notes: I actually put all the dates on the demos in the comments of the file but stupidly typed over most of them with credits to steve brock, nobs, aleph, eclipse, and nes, cause that's where mostly all of these came from.

Track 8: Wasn't sure where the Mugshots one came from, someone separated it in the track id thread way back. Pretty sure it's Otherized Fam.
Track 10: No idea who it is but they must be from the CM mob cause Sear's on there. I just know it was called the "Peanut Buter Demo" but not sure if that's dukes name or the name of the track.

Thanks to everyone for contributing tapes and ripping them. There's many more demos, there will be more compilations like this. Sorry that probably more than half the demos were taken from Aleph/Nobs/Brocks last rip but it's such an epic night and there's still more on there.

No kidding...how many hands did this pass thru?

The path this demo took to get here:

EL-P --> Bobbito --> Steve --> nobs --> aleph --> Verge --> TROY (and the rest of the world)

I dunno.. all I know is that Bob got the tape from him. If anyone knows El-P, might wanna ask him about this and the J treds demos he produced.

Here's another show 10-19-1995 with The Other Side (short lived group featuring 5FT from Black Moon),
Sunz of Man, and Trigga the Gambler/Smoothe Da Hustler... about first 3 hours

Part 1 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P144J5FU
Part 2 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WLR3FQO4

Thanks to Aleph for hooking up the Trigga/Smoothe freestyle which cut off when the tape flipped.
I spliced it together so you'll notice difference in sound for that session. This is another one with
kind of a ringing feedback, so maybe someone will come through with better quality rip, til then, better than nothing...

SNB collector - Eclipse plays 2 Non-Phixion demos on this show http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PQ7N7O5L Halftime/CM 8/2000.

Dude. .... ... fam. Listen to the show. Nes puts in enough work by getting, ripping, uploading, and sharing these tapes. I know you mean no harm, though, so I got you. As soon as I get a chance, I'll separate them up and post them. Might not be today or tomorrow though. Stay tuned.
