sampled by...

Brand Nubian-"Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down (Diamond D Remix)
Low Profile-Alladin's On The Cut (1989)
Big Daddy Kane-Long Live The Kane (1988)
Gang Starr - "Mostly the Voice" (1992)

Low Profile - "Aladdin's on a Rampage" (1989)
Pharcyde - "On the DL" (1992)

Tone Loc - "The Homies"

Just remembered a track that I had on one of my radio tapes. Might be a little difficult to identify, because I only remember a few words. Those words being:

"I think I got a groove going on" (sung chorus)

The track was whimsical, was probably released 92 or later, and...that's all I can remember.

Can anyone identify this track?

^need more info sorry Boothe...does anyone know what track is cut up for the vocal hook of "Trunk of Funk by Controversy?

It sounds a lot like Erick Sermon, but I'm not sure.

Yep it is Erick Sermon off EPMD's-"Got To Give The People (Jeep Mix)"

I'ma have to go through some joints to remember... But every time i hear that, it's like i'm waiting for him to say "Funkyy" right after so it must be a joint where he says that. Lol, which doesn't help much.

not off the Crime Scene compilation but he sorta sounds like J-Dub. he also refers to himself as Peter Parker (remember Swingin Thru Ya Town?).
