New Chopped Herring release: Tha Grimm Teachaz - There's a Situation on the Homefront EP

Check http://choppedherringrecords.com/ or more info.

Not too excited about this as I was hoping for the 2nd part of the NE demos to drop soon. But not bad either especially since it's available for a lower price.

That DNA EP is dope though.
Nah, I agree. There's only like one or two joints aside from the singles that were good, imo.
The same here. I also think that "Break It Down" is kinda overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's dope. But opposed to other Indie records from that era, it's nothing I would pay the high prices for this record goes for nowadays.

Maybe a lot of people are just after it cause it appeared on mixtapes like Premo's Reality Check 101 and Stretch Armstrong's Lesson 1..

I would like an OG copy for King of Demos, but it appears a fair number of copies got scooped up prior to the recent release and prices are even worse. Someday perhaps but I can't justify it when I could create a time capsule of 40 classic LPs for the same price.

thanks, didn't know they were doing GZA's too; i'll probably pick that up since I only have the CD. I got "36 Chambers", "Cuban Linx..." and "Ironman" OG presses on wax, the two latter signed by Ghost, and i would like to have all the early Wu classics on vinyl even though i have them on CD as well.

as for the ODB release, I posted about it on my blog maybe two weeks ago before the tracklistings was released and I was mega hyped for it. i was so fucking mad when I found out that the 2xLP set only has 12 songs - how the fuck is that a deluxe edition LOL. yeah, 1/3 of the songs and call it a deluxe package, that'll sell as long as you throw in an oversized ID card :S

the original ODB debut 2xLP had 15 songs, it was missing "Dirty Dancing" and "Harlem World" but this is a replica of a promo pressing that had the tracks in this order. they can go fuck themeselves.

wow, thanks for the info claaa7!!
imho, just a big size id card is NOT enough for a deluxe re-press or whatever, i'm going for the cd version cause i don't have an original copy of odb's album, plus it seems value for money

I'm also feeling this new Fully G - There She Goes Again 12" repress, nice and cheap on eBay.

Hey Bignormy, I got mine in Australia a couple of weeks ago at least... however, records seem to be taking longer than usual going in and out of the US at the moment (waiting for a few things.) I'm sure Chopped Herring will help you if any problems though.
