A (Very) Downtown Affair Christmas With MX Greens

http://letsgetserious.net/radio/a-very- ... ix-greens/

As we wind down 2011, weג€™re real excited to kick off December with a seasonal mix to welcome the holiday cheer. A full on Christmas mix for a specialty, all vinyl program is a tall order, and we surely couldnג€™t put something like this together on our own. Fortunately, at the suggestion of a few friends of the program we dialed up Ridgewood, QNS DJ MX Greens. We were told heג€™s THE Christmas DJ. Prior to this set I wasnג€™t really sure what that credential meant, as I hadnג€™t imagined the variety of tunes, stories and concept records that were put out in the larger ג€˜funk / soulג€™ continuum. Within his record collection, thereג€™s an ever-expanding section of HOLIDAY FUNK LPs/45″s ג€“ partially built up by solo digs, but also as a result of any funky holiday records gravitating his way as friends pass along a record here or there, knowing that itג€™s getting cataloged in a deep repository of Christmasג€™ (funky) past.

Thats an online radio show here in the UK. Not available for people to just upload stuff.

Here's a mix I was asked to do for it:
http://www.sensei.fm/shows.php?show=1242

Classic hip hop, jazz, breaks, library records & hard core indi gems.

Boy i've been making a rash of just plain idiot posts lately, hah. That's how i found that place because someone posted your mix somewhere, probably DWG or on a blog or something. Gonna give it another proper full listen tonight but it sounded damn tight when i previewed it i think yesterday, thanks.

@ganglyon: Great mix, big selection, I really enjoy it, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Underground hip hop, jazz, library, breaks in one mix. I'm also collecting exactly this stuff on vinyl and doing podcasts and radioshows with this sound. From your side it is ok if I will share your mix on my blog www.check-the-vibe.blogspot.com ?

Props to Wiz & Ganglyon, both mixes are pretty sick. Hey, G, i loved that chill-da-fuck-out middle part.

Could someone hook me up with dj Bibow's "Transmittin' Straight From The Other Side (Part 3)" please?
