Nah Gloss, come on. Take a seat & have a beer. It's a small world, you know.

And I agree, dope article about a dope (And pretty slept-on) album.

Makes me think it would be a perfect album for Traffic to reissue as a double CD, with every singles & instrumentals included on the second disc.

even on the duds (the odd attempt at swingbeat, 'I Like Your Style';
by far the best track on there IMO

:lol: I strongly disagree, but I disagree with this too, so don't worry about it:
the thoroughly rotten 'Porno Star'
I always loved that beat and thought the song was funny as hell back then. It still is comical, imo, and I'm sure that's what they intended. Not that i can sit through 7 minutes of it though.

I don't know who has the rights to what though. Black Pegasus put out the og versions of Pluckin Cards(the one i posted earlier in this thread) and Mechanizm Nice on a 2LP that was kind of a "some new stuff from different people, some rare ultra stuff" mixed up album in 2010.

Probably worth having just for that og version of Pluckin Cards though. I haven't copped nor heard really much else from this album.

whoooooa,,,i have to stop him right there.

i like ced on there but i can see people being kinda whatever over his verse,,but that beat is ill and keith is goddamn hilarious on that..

"back in the day, see you never had the time,
to come to my house and let me tell you that i rhyme"

"lisa, pamela, angela, renee,,,the girls who shoplift, and steal every day"

and the whole phone shit. so classic.

Word! That's one of my favourite tracks on the album!

They're playing in London soon, but I dunno if i'm going. Isn't their live show a shambles?

Agreed. Would also be great to have the original versions of the tracks on a bonus disc to hear the way the album was meant to have sounded before bullshit Mercury made them tone it down. Hence, the original, harder versions of 'MC Champion' & 'Message From The Boss' etc wiping the floor with the tamer "official" album versions.

Which brings me neatly on to two questions...does anyone have a full length version of the original 'MC Champion', that doesn't fade out during the middle of "James' " verse? And, does anyone know who this "James" guy actually was/is?
