Hey eveyone... Im new on the boards here. My buddy Claaa7 put me on to the site. by chance does anyone have a copy/rip of Paula Perry's "tales from fort knox"? I saw a promo cassette on motown for sale on ebay but I missed the auction. So it def exists. Sad thing is the auction was like 25 mins down the road from where I live... I have been searching for this album since it's shelving in '98. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's another I found by accident in my tapes this week, the sampler is hosted by Doo Wop. I can't find the original cover for the tape but I remember it was an image of Puff & Craig standing together in a night scene.

I always liked the insert description that Biggie was described as 'listener-friendly', and the 'Notorious BIG is not ready to die, this is only the beginning' line...eery.

I ripped & converted audio snippets from the Whooliganz tape. Somebody was selling it on eBay a few weeks ago, too bad I didn't get a chance to bid.
Shit sounds pretty good, would really like to see a decent release for this album (Digital at least). If somebody here is in touch with Alchemist, please make things happen lol!

Nice collection CRAIG! It's interesting to see the plain white cover versions without the normal color artwork you see on most samplers. I'd like to see the front covers as well.

does your copy of "hell on earth" have "live nigga rap" (which nas ended up buying for it was written) on it? i know it was on either the promo or advance of the album (not sure which you have)

cicarista, i love the late 90's def jam samplers. the survival of the illest series got me hooked on those. the first one while it basically looked like an onyx sampler, it also contained an exlsuive onyx freestyle, ja rule freestyle, cormega-testament and ll cool j-the ripper strikes back (canibus diss) later included on one of the ones you posted as well

survival of the illest vol1: dmx-its dark and hell is hot bonus disc
survival of the illest vol2: onyx-shut em down bonus disc
survival of the illest vol3: def squad-el nino bonus disc

I could've grabbed the one with Mega's Testament but I never did. Looking back I should have, but I only wanted it for that track, which I had already.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

I have a Def Jam 2000 cd with tracks from 'Mega, Slick Rick, and a few other cats. It's a burned copy tho, I was lookin' for an original a few years ago but my results were fruitless. Don't know how rare it is, if rare at all, but whatever. Anyway, if anyone has any info about this shit lemme kno or if you want it uploaded

If anyone wants to do any digging, I just found out about this thread: http://forum.diggerswithgratitude.com/s ... pes-thread (323 pages)

If it's not cool to link another site, please delete.

They posted the Ready To Die press cassette "with a different intro, extra tracks and a few other minor differences to the final version."

Image

That shit is sick. I'm about to go through that thread and see what's up. From the first page it only looks to be pics (and dead ones at that) though.

Here's the Mobb Deep Murda Muzik advance album that was reviewed by The Source

Image

I have also seen a pic of the Firm sampler recently. I know it has a non-album freestyle on it (maybe Hip Hop Drunkies), I think the rest were album snippets.....
