Stretch prolly has the ultimate USB with all those shows he recorded. If he shares them with the peoples, in any form, even a purple tape type box set or otherwise, i'll be very surprised. If he shares them surreptitiously with a small number of noted heads from the industry, I wont be surprised. It's his baby, he has the right to do with it what he feels.

If he holds that goodness back from the listeners that continue to collect the archives to this day, he's a crumb, although it has been noted in the past, he's not a crumb so its lookin good for the VHS to USB crew

I want to say it was eclipse that said that. if somehow timelife could get involved and get ahold of all these recordings and release them in a box set, that would be bananas.
Verge wrote:yes Stretch even mentioned on an old show back in the day about recording with his vcr. I remember cause i thought about trying it too but never did because i always recorded through those sony and panasonic little boomboxes and they didn't have any ins or outs or aux.
Since Stretch says now i think he has ALL the shows(except for a few that he's after) digitized, i don't know what exactly is holding him back from getting them out to the public, whether as multiple box sets or as free mp3s.

I am curious - what you are saying he personally has every show (and the full shows except for a few) recorded and may release them to the public?
I would be more than happy to support a box set!

I would be willing to pay damn near anything to get all of the shows as mp3s!

Though I think Stretch said in some interview that releasing the shows commercially would be "licensing nightmare".

my friend Steve who gave me his stash last year has a few shows on VHS. he hasn't found them yet though.

i remember when i was young my friends older brother used this technique to record the Howard Stern show without flipping or using multiple tapes.

You pretty much wanna go to "Options" and then click only the "Long Link" part on the YouTube page... don't just cut & paste from the browser.

Yeah man,i checked this video out again a couple weeks ago.

It's the earliest footage (late 1990) of Stretch & Bobbito.

I remember someone saying they have a LOT of old footage of Stretch & Bob in the studio but were waiting to release it when they make a documentary about them.

I doubt it will ever be released but we'll see.
