Party Breaks

Post by stype_ones »

Crooklyn Clan type stuff.. Anyone have decent quality MP3's? I bought the ones I could find on Amazon like the Fat Man Scoop Be Faithful, but need more. I am spinning at a more commerical type of party then I usually would, and need to have some shit in the stash.

I'm sure there are other DJ's on here that could benefit from this stuff as well. I have some older 90's stuff too. I will upload some but if anyone has stuff like the Hypnotized break, the Mister Cee one over SWV etc; it would be much appreciated. I am on wi-fi now but when I get home I will up some.

There used to be a thread dedicated to Party Breaks, but try as I might I cannot find it.

It had links for all the old DJ Riz / AV8 records, a bunch of Nubian Crackers / Chocolate Bamboo joints, Funkmaster Flex and Nervous / Wreck records breaks, Kenny Dope, Mister Cee, etc.

I have most of these on vinyl, but have long since lost most of the mp3s.

Some may be in here:

One party break I'm still after is a version of Mista Cee's 'Where Brooklyn At' that uses that Jackson 5 'I Want You Back' piano. I heard Flex play it around '98.

Anyone know it/have it?

Nice to see a thread on Party Breaks, always been a big AV8, Nervous fan...

..who doesn't like Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez – Hand Up !?

Get stacks on vinyl but hardly anything ripped - sorry.

Did a few mixes as well back in the late '90s. Still have them but all on MD. Haven't ripped to MP3 as I don't expect it would be much uptake on this!?

Still one of my fav CDs: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Shoot-Th ... ase/342623

Here's one of the all-time classic party breaks:

Afrika Bambaataa Presents Time Zone – Zulu War Chant (Funky Remix)

http://www.mrtzcmp3.net/D?416672696n612 ... MgljnfZ2So

unclick the box that says 'download with iMesh', then just click on the Download Now button

Here's the Frankie Cutlass Show CD, which has another all-time classic party break - "Puerto Rico"
http://www.mediafire.com/?1q4utqc0xawercn

This CD comp called "Dope Classics" had a bunch of classic party breaks in CD quality
http://www.leftfield-online.co.uk/disco ... /dopec.htm
I'd buy it if I lived in the UK (you can find it used on Amazon.co.uk for like $1! Same with the Shoot The Pump CD mentioned above), since shipping is only $2. Shipping overseas gets more expensive. If one of you UK guys cop it, please share...

I don't have these Nubian Crackers comps yet, but eventually I'll cop them. It compiles all their classic joints previously only available on vinyl. If you need them for your party, it's a convenient way to get them all in 1 place quickly, and in CDQ:
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/artist/nubi ... d204576217
(you can also find these 2 comps on Amazon mp3)

I'm actually trying to learn how to make my own party breaks right now on Ableton and Sony Acid Pro.

Bad-Cop: thanks for the upload. is there any way of getting a screenshot of what's inside the folder?
