Those fuckin drums were a real nightmare. They were initially distorted in multiple files, even CD FLAC's (http://www.discogs.com/Various-All-The- ... se/1358036 which is a bootleg though). Equalizing to decrease the distortion leads to weak snares, adding effects to make the snares sound phat leads to increase of the remaining distortion. Cheap sound card, digital files & PC beatmaking software, lack of technical knowledge (3rd beat i've ever tried to build) - who am i kidding? this is how far i was able to go, let's hope the next guy treats this babe better.

thanks for the link, relm. stretch talks about the whole archival process and that there are some legal issues to address before he'll be able to share some shows. at some point, however, old shows will be posted. stretch also talks about how he's working on some sort of video series that will be distributed by the same company that did bobbito's basketball documentary. the series has something to do with shedding the light on obscure albums or releases that didn't get their shine. sounds really interesting.

I would personally be more than happy to pay for good quality full shows. Sadly I find it very hard to believe that these shows could ever be released commercially. A lot of people are going to want purchase/download these shows. If Stretch makes any money out of it, there is always going to be some artist/sampled artist that's going to wan't their piece of the cake. Realistically I think Stretch is going to release them for free at some point.
What if 87 never happened?

I have a bunch of new track listings for some of the '93-'94 shows that are out there. Some of these are not the full show, just whatever piece of the show has been archived. I've been blessed at work lately to have some time where I can just throw on the headphones and vibe out so I figured I would do my best to come through with some listings. They're not 100% as some of this stuff I just don't know, mostly the old school and club joints are the ones I had trouble with.

Outro

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (7-14-94)

This one was kind of a treat for me because somebody (Lord Sear maybe) brought up Abdul Shamsid-Deen to the studio. I don't know if there are any other old Big East hoops heads in here, but Abdul Shamsid-Deen played ball at Providence from '86 to '90 and was drafted by the Sonics in 1990. I don't think he ever played in the NBA but played several years in Europe. He drops a few verses and throws a few snaps at Bobbito. Also there's a phone call from some kid calling himself Siah, I don't know if it's Siah from Siah & Yeshua, but he kicks a dope freestyle over the phone. This one also has a demo battle that was not received well from the listeners. The first demo (The Nation - This The Shit) I think is already out there, it was on a later show where Bobbito threw on some old demos, but the 2nd demo (The Funk Clan - Get The Picture) I don't think has. About half the people who called in thought both were wack. Judge for yourselves...

Craig Mack - Flava In Ya Ear
Nas - The World Is Yours (Q-Tip RMX)
Erule - Listen Up
King Tee - Dippin'
Artifacts - Cummin' Thru Ya Fuckin' Block

Siah Freestyle (phone call)

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (8-4-94)

This show has a really dope freestyle from Inner Mental which I split into two parts. AJ Damane was a bit of a regular and he brought his crew up to do some damage. They came up again at some point in '95 and ripped it. This is also the show with the famous Artifacts - Lo Down scandal. Where Lo Down straight bit an old Tame One freestyle and put it down verbatim on their Mask Of The Phantom record. They didn't get called out by name. Stretch & Bob both refused to say the name of the artist, song, record, label, location etc because they refused to give Lo Down any kind of exposure. They just played the freestyle, played the verse from the record and let that stand on its own. Then they took some calls and let the listeners voice their displeasure with such a craven act of biting.

Yo, big ups for all that DS! thanks.

Regarding the 2/23/95 show, the Big L Jay Z night.. have we ever gotten more of that show other than the tracklist that's here?:
http://stretchandbobbito.blogspot.com/1 ... jay-z.html

We have L, Jay, and Funkdoobiest as being the artists that were there but i got an email from a guy called "Gangsta Boogie" who says he was up there that night and did get on the mic and spit. Obviously he doesn't have the full show so he's looking for it too.
So yeah, if anyone has any other parts of that night, please share. Thanks.

All I had from that night (2/23/95) was a 90 minute tape..and that's what I posted. Wish I had more recorded. Definitely don't remember Gangsta Boogie as a guest but I was killing a lot of brain cells in '95.

Yeah I don't know, I only have two parts which are like 45 mins each, and that's the same as the tracklist in the link.

Want to hear that Gangsta Boogie shit too. Some of the illest freestyles were from cats that nobody ever heard from before or since.

Hate to say it but if more of a 2/23/95 recording hasn't surfaced here by now it don't think it will..but you never know.

ayo Big DS, tell me that "The Funk Clan" demo doesn't sound like exactly some earlier Total Pack material? Serch4beatz, peep that one too, i think you might recognize one of the voices as C Style.
Unless this is common knowledge, than..ermm.. dult. sorry.

Also the Grimm Reaper promo was actually B One.

Really enjoyed that collection of treats though, so much rawness in that folder.

btw, dope tees Craig, I want the MBPs one and the SnB one but know i will completely lowball, pause, you cause i don't know that market and i wouldn't wanna pay more than $25 a piece anyways. Dope shit tho!

Ahhhhh my bad. I heard "Grim Reap" and went with that. I was listening at work, so I obviously wasn't listening that close. I thought something was off, because the flow was similar but the voice didn't sound right. Thanks for the correction.

That definitely sounds like CeStyle and Total Pack used to rep "Hollis Crew", hmmmmm. I wonder what the story behind that is, because this was a '94 demo and Total Pack was already well known to KCR listeners in '92. I know Kamal B Wise left Total Pack, but I don't know the time frame exactly for that. You may have stumbled onto something here Verge, what exactly though I don't know...

Speaking of B-One, does anybody have the "Taking Niggas" demo he did with Lord Finesse, Freddie Foxxx and G Rap? It was on a track listing for something Kevin Beacham put together awhile back that got posted in here in the last year or so, but the link got removed pretty quickly. Been wanting to hear that since '94.

$25 is a bit low for either the Stretch or the Money Boss, sorry gents, already sold the Tape Kingz for the amount I'd expected though...

Some more show listings and separated freestyles for you from 1994

The bolded tracks are in the link at the bottom of this post.

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (9-29-94) (Hosted by Daddy Reef & Matt Life. DJ Riz, DJ Avee & DJ Eclipse on the tables)

This first show, Stretch and Bob weren't in the house, but the guest hosts brought the flava. Minnesota and Money Boss Players came up and represented. The freestyle is not courtesy of me, somebody else separated it and posted it in here a few years back, I can't remember who it was but props to them. I'm throwing it up again in case anybody doesn't have it. I don't positively know the name of the artist of the Peanut Butter demo that's been posted in here before. I think it was decided on Psychedelic Alien so I went with that. There's a few old school tracks I couldn't ID, as usual they only played one verse, one and a half tops.

Pt. 1

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (10-20-94)

Legendary Kool DJ Red Alert comes up to the show, as well as another legend Milk Dee, promoting his only solo record, he kicks a short freestyle which I have included. In the 2nd half of the show R.A. The Rugged Man joins Stretch & Bob and makes them uncomfortable. He drops a freestyle and hangs around quietly for Krunchtime, which is mad long on this night. It starts off kinda funny but seems to drag on as they go further. Ardie Fuqua is in the house with Sear on this one, trading snaps with callers.

Phone Calls/Krunchtime

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (11-10-94)

This one is just a partial show, a little under 2 hours. Nothing ultra special on this night as the 1200's were locked in the closet, causing mucho bitching from Stretch. Group Home comes up for a mostly wasted appearance. They try and drop a short freestyle but give up fairly quickly due to the turntable issues, so I didn't even bother separating that. Channel Live comes up and rips it, again this freestyle was posted by somebody else, either in here or another board. Props to them for making me do less work. I have included it for your listening pleasure.

Tha Alkaholiks - Daaam!
Brand Nubian - Straight Off Da Head

Kool Keith & Godfather Don - I Was Forgotten
Craig Mack - Get Down (cuts off)

Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito (11-24-94)

Finally, we have a more complete listing of the '94 Thanksgiving show. There's only 3 hours here so I don't think it's full. Obscene Questions, who I had never heard of before or since came up and killed it. This is easily one of my own personal favorite sessions in KCR history. These kids were nice, I wonder whatever happened to them.
Krunchtime is pretty lively and I had people looking at me funny at work as I was busting out laughing, but I told them to suck mad pee pee. A bunch of heads called in and tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to rhyme, getting all kinds of abuse. One kid (K-Dash) really tore it out the frame, I included that freestyle in here. The rest of them either sucked or were drowned out by the clowning going on so I didn't keep those. At the very end of the show Doo Wop calls in and puts Snaggapuss on and he kicks a short acapella freestyle, which I threw in because hey, it's Snags, he's nice with his.

Pt. 1

Redman - Can't Wait

Does anyone have the link to the compilation of krunchtime and other humorous moments that someone on here put together a while back?

Any of you know anything about Unreleased Artifacts material? I probably came across an unreleased demo tape from them ( there are 5 tracks which i have not heard anywhere before, unfortunately they are not listed on the tape :( ). Sounds like 95' - 96' tho.
