@IRISH, Haven't seen any additional hours of this show appear. I have to imagine with all of the S&B detectives in the mix here it would have shown up already.

I kinda figured if you didnt have it, it would be buried still, thanks anyhoops. Would love to hear Bobb get amped on that old school vibe.

Yo fellas, the last part of this show is one of the Steve/nobs rips. It was a major find bc the Fugees appearance was totally forgotten, overshadowed by Nas, Big L and Stretch's beat. Also because Bob misremembered in the Ego Trip book that Lauryn wasn't there (she was of course).

I have it somewhere with the rest of my rips, I'll make my usual mental note to self

Wow, okay. Never knew Bobb forgot, haha.

If you get a chance, dont hes to hoke it out, many many thanks in advance. Thatd be a great show to share too. Theres so much old school stuff after that Fugess freestyle, Stretch drops Death Mix & some Masterdon, thats heavy, 78/ 79 heavy.

As I said, if you get a chance.

Cheers Nes, top work. The Breakbeats albums are savage. Even though they are insts, I could listen to them all day. And the King could spit !

You wouldn't happen to have the final part of the 28 October 93 show [Nas/ Big L etc] ? Pretty please ?

Thanks in advance

The version that seems to be widely available (soulseek etc) only goes through "Party & Bullshit". Thanks+1

PS as noted on the blogspot, track 4 is actually Casual - That's How It Is remix. hope this helps! :ohsh:

28 Oct 93 [Nas, Big L, Fugees 3h 35mins]

I guess this is as close to 4 hours as were gonna get. I have suspicion that the show started before Sooperman Luva...

Thanks again to everyone involved in salvaging these puppies. The exhaustion is palpable at the end, classic stuff. And the old school set is sickness.

Again, huge propers to Nes/ Aleph and everyone else still 'vibesing'.

@IRISH..Just a heads up on the playlist..Notorious B.I.G. – Party & Bullshit is not a Stretch Armstrong Mix..it's the Lord Finesse Mix from the promo 12".

No question B. There's no question the general concensus regarding their renewed popularity has something to do with the energy created by you lot.

Over 800 people have listened to the full Nas/ Big L/ Fugees show in 4 days. Regardless of who is sharing these shows, the proof is right there, these old shows [OVER 20 YEARS OLD remember] are still super-duty popular. The music, the craic and the vibe are key, this show wasnt voted Best Hip Hop Radio Show of All Time for nothin !!

I posted in a few forums on reddit (nyc, hiphopheads, hiphop, HipHopHeadsnyc), looking for anyone with old tapes. Got this one reply so far:

"I used to love listening to those shows and when I went away to college in New England I missed them until I found out about the tapes for sale at Fat Beats. Every winter break I used to go to Fat Beats and buy a bunch of Stretch and Bobbito tapes to bring back to school.
I may be able to find some along with my other cassettes and CD's that are in storage. If I do ill def forward them along. I really should've found all my cassettes and digitized them by now anyway. Thanks for the motivation."

Fingers crossed. reddit post here: http://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/21 ... armstrong/

also, please advise if there are any other blogs that should be on that list. I grabbed all I could that I knew had shared up S&B sets, and I apologize to anyone I missed.

Related: How does the community feel, in general about posting links to downloadable sets, with attribution to the original rippers? I refrained from doing so on my post, I wanted to get a feeling on the consensus. I've got a link up to my hulkshare in the blogspot comments, with a note asking that if anyone shares them to give attribution to the og source (listed in the track info), but I don't know if that's enough. Thank you.

If S&B are appreciating the shows being shared then hopefully everyone agrees, link posting cant be anything other than a positive.

No doubt, matchin big hooters, Stretch could be Jorges big brother #matchingsadeyes

Kurious looks like he's just come outta ten rounds in the ring, and has blood drippin out his gub.

Bobb has one front tooth.
