L. (aka L. Fly) - Check the Flow (Compilation)

L's nondescript name makes it difficult to find out too much info on him. All I know is that he's a Baltimore MC and most of his music was produced by Jay-Funk, who produced other good Baltimore artists like Norm Skola, SCU etc. L. released several 12"s independently from 96 through to the early-mid 00's (a lot of his records don't have dates making it hard to figure out the chronology on the later releases.) He's pretty obscure but is strangely popular in Japan where his first couple of records were re-pressed (as well as another 12" in 2008 of previously unreleased material.)

I put together a compilation from the 12"s that I own, including the Jay-Funk instrumentals as a bonus. The early stuff is really dope IMO - the later stuff hasn't dated that great in comparison.
