Step - That Kane freestyle is SILLY right ? And to hear Derek B AND King Tee on a Rap Attack is crazy.

Same as yersel', I hope he keeps it up though.

Has he posted the actual Tale of the Tape on this one yet ? Need to read about his passion for this gems, adds so much more.
Haven't heard it all yet. The write up for the second one wasn't up earlier. Just got back off hols and was catching up on net stuff from the past week. This was a nice surprise!

^ The intro beat on that Lazy K tape is from Keith Murray's 'This That (S)Hit'. I agree, her tapes are good.

^ Thanks P!

Thats a clever move also, cos the last track is the blend/acapella of the same track. So when the tapes flipped it goes full circle. Props to Lazy K , shes got skills and creativity to go with it.

Have to try and track down some of her other mix's from that era.

I'm guessin this is her? http://www.discogs.com/artist/1188628-Lazy-K-2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Those ones from 96 look interestin, wonder if the freestyles are exclusive?

No problem man... You can download both Butta Mixxin Rican tapes from 96 via:

Part 1: http://www.f-yourbrand.com/dj-lazy-k-bu ... -part-one/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Part 2: http://www.f-yourbrand.com/dj-lazy-k-bu ... an-part-2/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have to listen to them again, but at least some of the freestyles on her tapes are exclusives (as far as I know.) That Spring 98 tape has a real good Little Shawn song I haven't seen anywhere else too.

What's up everyone. I came across this tape and figured I would share. I recorded this sometime in July or August of 1997, pretty dope show. The tape also features interviews with Allure (remember them?) and DJ Muggs. Let me know what you think. I don't have dates recorded on a lot of the shows, so I'm marking em by Volume as I tape.

P.S. if anyone has a suggestion of a good site to up these joints besides Solid, let me know. It's been a minute since I've done this. Peace.

Pretty dope show last night. This one comes on right before Halftime on WNYU. They had
DJ Eclipse as the guest DJ. Pretty good talk segments about old NYC, Fat Beats, etc.

There is 6 in total I think. I know there are some here and there on youtube, but not the whole collection. Anyways, enjoy this one. Peace.

Think I might extract those acapella bits he does. Crazy that he remembers them that well and how good they are given the era he was doing them in.

TOTALLY ! Do it, and chuck some beats underneath, haha ! I thought to myself, hold on, these rhymes go back to before Rhyme Pays man, how the feck does he remember stuff that old, but im guessin rhymes are very personal to Rappers like our mixes and tapes are to us, we remember detail no one else would. Im sure we both know heads that can remember their old Rap stuff like that, its really impressive in the scheme of things.

BTW. As well as shedloads of PE, Run DMC, Russell Rush, Rubin, King Tee, LL & the Beasties etc, there are some really sick pics of Ice [AND the hottest female in Rap history DARLENE] in that new Glen E Friedman book, My Rules. There's some of the Our Most Requested Record & Rhyme Pays cover outatkes, outside that mansion in West LA eg, amazing book, and it 'weighs a ton'.

Happy Monday y'all. I recorded this one while I was living in Pennsylvania. This show, like you all know was syndicated. I taped it off of WUSL Power 99 from Philadelphia. First time I ever heard Medina Green's "Crosstown Beef" was on this shit right here. Blew my mind. Anyway, enjoy this joint. Btw, for anyone that has PM'd me, I want to say thank you. I cannot respond via PM as of yet, since my account is still newer. Peace.
