Probably Death Certificate, even though Ice Cub wasn't 2/3rds the emcee Kool G Rap was.

"Death certificate"
far more consistent

If "live and let die" had the remix of "on the run" on there though...

"Two To The Head" is one of my favorite all-time posse cuts.

i donno man...this one's close...the beats is similar (and by that I mean the actual sound and the qualitiy)...the approach that the rappers took are similar (that storytelling steez). i think it all comes down to who you prefer. i like cube and kool g rap equally but as far as actual skillz go, g rap is the man. "live and let live" is the winner for me..

it's ill because a lot of the students i go to school with now are so into that "Thug Shit" and then when I tell em' about G-Rap and recommend this album and 456 they say "I don't wanna hear that shit it's too old" ...I dunno I'd rather hear G-Rap over 50 and Dipset anyday......mufuckas don't respect pioneers...but anyway I choose DC over this tho' this was a no contest ....not much is fuckin' with Death Certificate...

Your opinions are usually on-point, but such a ridiculous statement suggests that you need to chill out on the crack cocaine, homie...

haha, fair enough. I think I hold G Rap in higher regard than most people do, and I thought 2/3rds was enough of a a fraction to give Cube. To me, Cube was a better writer but G Rap had the superior technical skills and vivid storytelling ability.

Technical skills as in flow, voice, etc., the tangible aspects related to one's rapping ability, disregarding the content of the lyrics.

And I think "Great Train Robbery" and "Operation CB" alone make G Rap a superior storyteller to Cube.

I was just about to amend my post to say that you could probably list plenty of legitimate Ice Cube examples as well. I think it basically comes down to personal preference. I just like G Rap's style better I guess.
