1990-Special Ed-Legal LP

Post by Jaz »

You know what I love about this album?,besides Ed and his laidback but charasmatic flow and Howie Tee's fine head nodding production?.

The way the album represented a 1990 album that had such an 88/89 feel too it.

Ed is just nuts on "Ready To Attack" (which rocks the same Hair sample that Pete Rock used for Run DMC's 1993-"Down With The King" single.

enjoy...

ERASMUS STAND UP! This is his best LP, IMO. I still think he got better later on, but it doesn't have the same feel.

Fun Fact: I'm in a Special Ed video...which one...not telling...

Ed's delivery on "Ready 2 Attack" is impeccable...he just rhymes like he is mad serious about his craft, he would have been one of those lunchtime Emcee's that kids would be in awe at...

For me the illest lines are when Ed delivers (with the utmost smoothest delivery in rap history!)

These lines...
Now black-on-black, and you're free as waves
In the ocean, without a notion
Am I surfin fast over your head?when he delivers that line...there is something that is so ill about the way he rhymes it the way he does, almost like he was coming off the top of the head or something...

Maybe you need glasses or classes in Special Ed
Let me see -
I can fit you in on Monday at 3
Tuesdays is use days
And Wednesdays is friends days
And Thursdays is her's days
And Fridays is my days
And Saturdays is fun days
And Sunday's the one day
I rest, give thanks and bless
Again on Monday I will be back
Yo Ak - get ready to attack
