if you're uploading each file manually, you can use fileuploader found here: http://z-o-o-m.eu/
just queue all the files you are going to upload and select the filehost of your choice. if you got everything down and don't need that, then completely ignore what i just typed.

Gudtyme – the Corona, Queens hip-hop fanatic who, along with DJ Rob Swift, brought us this 1985 Rakim-Biz Markie live routine last week – unleashes an entire mixtape of such gems. Besides Ra n’ the Biz, Lunchroom Battles includes lost treasures like Nas and Akinyele dropping “Live at the BBQ” lyrics before Breaking Atoms, Stetsasonic rockin’ on the radio, and Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick doin’ a pre-”La Di Da Di” routine referencing disgraced Ms. America Vanessa Williams’ Penthouse magazine nude spread (hence, the mixtape’s subtitle). Yup, you need this. Get it now!

Pete Rock Mix - Delicious Vinyl 25th Anniversary

Post by claaa7 »

Image
this is a new mix by DJ Pete Rock, but it mainly focuses on the Delicious Vinyl classics from the late '80s and '90s so i deifnitely think it's T.R.O.Y. material. presented by Stussy and Delicious Vinyl, this is an official celebration mix for the labels 25th anniversary, and Pete does a great job as always, mixing classics from Masta Ace Inc., The Pharcyde, Brand New Heavies, Tone Loc, Young MC and more. 320 kbps download or stream for free via Soundcloud:

I'm breakin out some of my Across 110th St WKCR tapes in this post, nuthin but Funk and Soul being spun. Who ever used to catch that show on Saturday afternoons lemme know, that show used to make my weekend. I remember one time walking into Bobbito's Footwork and the show was playing.

Across 110th Street featuring Danny Rudder, Ricky Powell of The Beastie Boys with occasional guests such as Chairman Mao was a great show for passing time on the weekends with stellar set lists of rare grooves and breaks.
Sounds great, thanks!

What's the matter, the audio doesn't work or isn't downloadable for the NL region? If so I can upload it elsewhere.

More random radio from the archives...

There's a section of this where Greg Nice says 'Bought a string of polo ponies, so I can paly polo' [which is just funny] and a line from Smooth B that says 'Roam the 7 seas like a navigator, and in the Rap world, were the gladiators'....

Im sure ive heard the Smooth B line before, there are bits of Skill Trade & Hip-Hop Junkies in this but if anyone knows for sure, lemmy know, thanks in advance

^During this interview & freestyle session, Akinyele talks about the Source Magazine article by some chick who harshly criticized his lyrics on his Vagina Diner album, especially on the song “I Luh Huh”. You also hear Large Professor dissin the fuck outta Main Source! And they also play the EXTREMELY RARE “Break A Bitch Neck” joint by Akinyele featuring Kool G Rap (produced by The Large Professor). For anyone who doesn‘t know, there were only 10-18 copies of that Test Press 12-inch pressed... And it sells for $3000-$4000. haha

^I edited the file so that this version of the show features only the talk breaks and freestyle sessions fused together as one 66 minute track! You should recognize a few of the beats as they were used by Large Professor himself, Tragedy, Akinyele and Mad Skillz. And big ups to DJ Eclipse for bein the one to record that whole 5 hour Stretch & Bobbito show live back on Thursday night November 11, 1993.

Make sure you pick up the brand new Large Professor album that just dropped on June 26...

Here’s my radio show from this past week where me & my boy The Friendly Traveler went back & forth on the 1’s & 2’s for the whole 2 hours. I spun all vinyl and he spun Serato. The show turned out great! Lot’s of dope joints from the 80s & 90s in the mix. Enjoy. . .
