I threw these in other threads but figured they should go here to be more easily accessed-
Here's the Cyclops 4000/Scaramanga/Sir Menelik/Juan Exelcia freestyle from one of the Bobbito tapes that Howfresh uploaded a few weeks ago.
The first one I chopped the talking out of it.
The second one, I left the talking in.

Been a couple of months, you still out there kev?
Just wondering, I'm still knocking some of those demos.
The Almighty Arrogant one has to be near the top of my list.
 at my blatant attempt at hearing more demos...

I second that. This thread is amazing. I just hope it continues to be even more amazing. If Kev doesn't post more I'd like to take an oppertunity to thank him for the work he's/you've done man. It's incredible.

Either way, lets just hope we get to hear some more demos!

I'm here...hanging on a thread...ha. Naw, I just got swamped with Soundset and teaching my college hip hop class, but this is my last week of teaching so once I get grades in I'm back to just "normal crazy" and I'll be up in here again. I have a bunch of demos ready to post up. I just hate posting stuff w/o some story to it....ha. I "promise" (a word I use very infrequently) to put up some cool stuff real soon!

Wooooo - great to hear that you will be back dropping more gems, Kev. I'm not the most vocal on here, but very grateful for the demos you have been blessing us with... it's awesome - thanks!

Any chance of MP3s of the TSP stuff you had up? I knew nothing about them but the music you posted was dope!

For whatever reason it didn't take correctly, but once you download it, just open it in Windows Media. It'll work.

That's so dope that you teach a hip-hop class Kev... what college/university is it? It seems as though a few different schools have been teaching hip-hop in the past decade, which i think is great. Is the class based on the music, the elements, the culture, or all of the above?

Ragedy Man

random request though, you have any songs by raggedy man? all i ever had was a demo stretch and bob played. he was dope and i've always been curious to hear more.
Funny I was just doing some Raggedy Man research recently. I hit up Bobbito about a Raggedy Man freestyle with a a beat box and I was trying to confirm if the beatbox that night was Biz Markie, but Bob said he didn't remember... I was asking because some of the lyrics that Rag kicks in that freestyle are lyrics Biz uses later on "All Samples Cleared". I'm pretty sure that Raggedy wrote "I'm The Biz Markie" and "I'm Singing"....

Anyway here is all the Raggedy Man stuff I have found and converted so far:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/ux0mc0

there is:
Raggedy Man Stretch Armstrong Show freestyles (w/beatbox...BIZ??)
Positive K w/Raggedy Man demo
Raggedy Man-Can U Feel Me (from Def Jam "Spring Breaks & Beats
Sampler '97" cause he had just gotten signed to them)
Rag used to be down with Chino XL's Gravitation click.. he's on the album "here to save u all".. i heard some ill shit went down with positive k and lyor cohen which kinda made rag wanna quit the game..
here's "waiting to exhale" feat. raggedy man

Incase anyone been sleeping on the mixtapes, vintage radio thread like I was, here's a joint you want.
Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Beatnuts Remix
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7692939-269" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7692939-269" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>
http://www.divshare.com/download/7692939-269

I never knew this was a Beatnuts remix. I thought it was a Stretch remix or a blend. But, apparently, I've been wrong all these years.

Thanks to jamo609 for uploading them Stretch n Bob tapes.

^You ain't alone, fam.

I isolated this here off a Bobbito tape that www.dirtywaters.blogspot.com recently uploaded. It's a cleaner version of that Kool Keith demo and one of my favorite old WKCR promos that I haven't heard probably since 1994.

Kool Keith - Time Is Now(demo)[cleanest version on the net]

Ok, here's a lil sumpin:

1)Undaground Soulution-In Spring Training EP
-Here's the full joint with scans of all the artwork & even the CD itself.
Lots of great stuff on here. I've wrote about them before so you should
know the deal. KBATE is getting married on Saturday is the only real
update...ha. Check out the myspace I made for them if you haven't yet

http://www.sendspace.com/file/zi4lv6

2)Decipher-Simplest Form (Dat)

-Don't remember how I got this. Speaking of remember, who recalls that like two years or so when someone might actually give you a dat. Even
having a dat player in the studio didn't make it convenient for me. I didn't have a dat anywhere else so I never had a chance to listen to it to make sure it was good before I aired it...ha. Anyway, final converted the full thing and it's pretty fresh. He was down with Chicago crew T.S.P. He's got a unique voice, nice word connection and minimalistic beats that work.
Includes the scan of the dat with all the song info also. 6 tracks in all including a remix (w/added guest mcs), instrumental, & Acapella of the title joint!!

http://www.sendspace.com/file/iwepzp

3)TSP-Look What The Wind Blew In (full tape!!)

-T.S.P was a wild crew!! They were on some street lyrical sh**. There's ten full songs plus a bunch of freestyles and some interludes. All the tape scans are included too.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/i7wn95

enjoy!!

This is really dope too, Verge. I always felt that Eon was kinda nice with his on the first few Eastern Conference singles. Didn't know he was rapping as far back as '94 though.

EC, man....what a shitty label.

God damn, a Sandbox remix? :ohsh:

I also recognize that Pinky instrumental. You played it in between segments at some point. Shit, you played a lot of instrumentals in between segments that I've always wondered about. Your taste in beats was always impeccable.

"Mellow Acid" and "I Journeyman" are definitely my favorites off of this EP.

here's just a couple re-ups of stuff that people wanted reposted:

-Savage Intellect feat Frankenstien-Makin N Takin (Demo) [prod by JEL]

http://www.sendspace.com/file/2vvgne

That is an unfinished song of me and Frankenstien that we recorded in his home studio. It was just practice vocals for him to have something to write to as he just freestyled and kick some new stuff he had. I was supposed to go back to T.O. to finish but...

-Shakespeare the One Man Riot (compilation): this is everything I have from
him. I saw in a thread a re-up request but don't remember where or who

http://www.sendspace.com/file/uhy24n

-Shadez Ov Blac-Comprehension EP: Nice offering from Canada, I believe
from Winnpeg.

big, big thank you for this one. i've been looking for tracks from them for ages.
do you happen to have any more tracks from them?
I've seen a promo tape of their album on ebay once (went for $16), but missed the auction and i've never seen it again since then.
