Yeah that what I though when I heard it. I had no I idea that Baby Sham was in Killa Kidz.Ho1ogramz wrote:Just saw discogs, looks like the whole Killa Kidz crew spit on that track.thomasv wrote:That doesn't really sound like Killa Sha to me. is there a street version or only radio?
Is that Baby Sham of Flipmode Squad at 3:16?
I don't think there's a street version, unfortunately.
Anyway, How many members were in Killa Kidz? Prince Ad, Psycho Child, ...?
I haven't heard that track in a min, haha just took a listen now to refresh my memory and yeah it's Baby Sham - he even says so! My bad.
Killa Kidz = Killa Sha, Psycho Child aka Mr. Challish, Mr. Ruck, and Baby Sham.
Thanks for the lineup,

I tried this one before and nobody knew what I was talking about, which is very understandable. But let me try again - ?Black Prophet - Extra Mile? Stretch n Bobbito listeners from around 1996-98 should know this one. It got play around that time for like 4 straight weeks and then it's remix got play for a couple of weeks. The artist name and track name are probably wrong, but good guesses.
What I remember from it- In his rhymes he says - 'Catch the holy ghost over and over'... '..my son, keep ya head up like a giraffe'...'I'm broader than broadway in broad daylight'...and at the end of each verse he says 'cause I go the extra mile' which leads to the hook(which reallly looks stupid written out). The hook is sampled maybe from an old tv show or record -(this is embarrassing) 'Yah,yah, yaaaah' 'Yah,yah,ya-yaaah'
I know it looks wack, but trust me it's not.
Any guesses?

I just saw that, thanks MarkshotMarkshot wrote:Jaz, check http://philaflava.blogspot.com for Goodfella Mike G ;)
Haha, that would be great...assuming they would all be filled. Especially after hearing that Junglez Of The East joint (not that I ever doubted your taste, that song was just super dope) I really wanna hear these tracks you're looking for. I'll listen through all the '96-'98 Stretch & Bob shows I have and see if I can find it.Verge wrote:I should start my own thread of nearly impossible requests with terrible descriptions

That's funny because he just contacted us at the blog.Ho1ogramz wrote:Verge, you tried contacting Stretch? http://konstantkontakt.blogspot.com
email: stretcha@gmail.com
He's trying to find people that have pre 1994 tapes of his show.He already knows about the recogtherealblogspot joint, but if anyone got tapes and wants to help him out, feel free.
But he probably wouldn't know, honestly. Bobbito was the one that played the ill indy bangers and demos. No dis to Stretch, but at that time,he was more into the whole Mobb Deep-esque types of records that were dropping then. Which I have nothing against,it's just Bob played the shit that people like us got the passion for. Thank you though, Ho1o.
Thanks kimani. It was played a good amount of times and he mentions Black Prophet a couple of times.kimani wrote:Haha, that would be great...assuming they would all be filled. Here's one Ive never seen online.....
Captain Kirk (sp?) "I know you like it" (not to be confused with Kool Kirk)
It was making the mixtapes rounds around 93... If memory serves me correctly, this was around the same time that Jay was making noise with "in my lifetime." I think the had a similar sound/flow... I remember liking both of the tracks equally. I never heard from Kirk again and jay-z, well....
