Hey, man, you sure this isn't the right version on this?:
http://www.discogs.com/A-Tribe-Called-Q ... ase/626371
I know I had a couple of "The Jam EPs" and all the tracks were pretty
good quality from what I remember.

This one here looks like it has to be the Funk Flex one, since it's his EP:
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Mixtape- ... ase/461260

Dilla Anthology 4. I'm not sure on the quality of these bootleg records.
They damn sure charge enough money for them, though.
http://www.discogs.com/J-Dilla-Antholog ... se/1104720

Best Of Dilla CD. This may be a good one, not sure. It is a boot, but by
that label/store hhv.

J.Yancey bootleg CD. I doubt this is a good one:

I'm not a pro at this or anything, being I've only really been online and
digitally adept for a couple of years, but I did a quick fix on this.
It's definitely louder and has more bass now. On the second try, I may have
gone too far and it may distort, but I really wanted to get that bass in the
mix. Let me know which you guys think is better. I can try to do better when
I have more time to focus. Thanks for the track, SF HH Fan, it's pretty damn
dope.

The Jam EP has gotta be the LOOPED version because of the song length of 5:07. It does NOT have Phife's verse.

One of my boy's has that 'J Dilla Anthology Volume 4' vinyl and that's not it either! It's the 2 minute Funkmaster Flex version from his 'The Mixtape Vol. III: The Final Chapter'.

I have no clue regarding that 'Best Of Dilla' CD, but if you notice, it's a Mix CD! So even if it was the version I posted, it would probably be mixed together with another song.

I downloaded that J.Yancey bootleg last year to see if that was a good version and if I remember correctly, it's the same bullshit LOOPED 5 minute version without Phife's verse.

And like I already had said, the version on that 'The Lost Tribes' album is the 2 minute Funkmaster Flex version!

Trust me, I spent a lot of time trying to track down the version I posted. I even hit up the guy on YouTube who has it posted (and where I got it from), but he never responded. Maybe one of you can try?

Btw, when you convert asomething from YouTube to mp3, is 128 the highest bit rate you can get???

**EDIT**

Looks like this person below also posted it (just back in December), but they are listing it as being from 'The Jam EP Vol. 2', but that can't be THAT version since the 'Jam EP' version is 5:07, and this one here is 3:36.

There's a wack "looped" 5 minute version with alright quality floating around and the actual full version, but the quality is really bad... It's like there's no bass! I wish Funkmaster Flex put that on a 12" single like he did with the Pete Rock produced Alkaholiks joint.

Verge, you are the muthafuckin MAN!! I had never seen or even known about that Loud Promo 12". I didn't wanna say anything then, but I ordered that record and I got it today. It even comes in a white and blue Loud promo jacket. I finally have the actual studio version on an official press 12"! The only thing that sucks is it's a clean version. haha It's only 2 or 3 words, but still. Thanks again for finding that... It was new to the Discogs database. Some cat in Japan was sellin it for $14.98. Then $8 shipping so $23 total, but whatever, it's a RARE Jay Dee production and the only song in which he rapped on a Tribe song.

Here's some shit I e-mailed some folks and threw up a few other places...

Whattup folks. Here's a cool little interview "5 Minutes with Q-Tip" out at some spot in Brooklyn recently... http://www.brooklynbodega.com/2010/03/3 ... exclusive/

That's some damn good news hearing that he's producing for Nas (again). Last time was '94, so it's about fuckin time!! I really hope that'll be out this year like Tip says. hahaha

And check this out, here's A Tribe Called Quest and Consequence on Stretch & Bobbito's first ever Sunday night B-Side Radio Show from July 1996 on NYC's Hot 97. It's 25 minutes long, really dope, funny and the freestyle sessions are niiice!! Enjoy... http://www.mediafire.com/?2mnynuqmniz (45 mb / 256 kbps)

Here's another bonus... It's A Tribe Called Quest featuring Jay Dee of Slum Village with a song they recorded in 1997 called "That Shit". This song was on the Funkmaster Flex Mixtape album "The Mixtape Vol. III (The Final Chapter)" which came out in '98, but the song was cut short. This is the FULL version from the rare Loud Records promo only 12" single. Also, this is the ONLY Tribe song that Jay Dee aka J Dilla ever rhymed on, but I assume everyone knows that already. Enjoy... http://www.mediafire.com/?dyuyz2izmjr (7 mb / 256 kbps)

Image
Image

And yo, by now I have to assume everyone's heard this rough demo version of "Scenario" which features Leaders Of The New School, De La Soul and Black Sheep... It was talked about it Ego Trip's Book Of Rap Lists. Also, Q-Tip says that this was recorded the day before the album version was recorded and that the only reason the album version only featured L.O.N.S. was cuz they were the only ones who came back the next day. haha There's also another version that features Chris Lighty. Enjoy... http://www.mediafire.com/?ij2yytwhum2 (7 mb / 256 kbps)

And last, here's Q-Tip on the Juan Epstein Podcast from August 2008. This podcast in general is real ill cuz Peter Rosenberg and DJ Cipha Sounds sit down with folks and ask the REAL questions, shit that all of us might ask, you know? There's no music and they don't play beats in the backround. This is recorded in the Hot 97 radio station studio on a weekly basis and then posted up on the http://www.rosenbergradio.com website. On this episode, Tip talks about all kinds of shit. Trust me, it's a very good listen. Usually these podcasts are about an hour or so, but this one was only about 27 mins unfortunately. Enjoy... http://www.mediafire.com/?zi5ownidmlw (25 mb / 128 kbps)

And you folks might wanna check out the website for other dope interviews they've done with folks like The Large Professor, Noreaga, Fat Joe, Mister Cee, EPMD, Snoop Dogg (which was real crazy the shit Snoop talked about), etc.

This is my 3-hour Jay Dee Tribute Show from February 7, 2010. I stuck with spinning all Jay Deeג€™s productions between the years 1994-2002 and chose to only go to ג€™02 because it was around that time when his beats started to change a little and he started to really go by J Dilla. His original sound with him being Jay Dee is the sound of his I love. Jay Dee was classic, but J Dilla was hit or miss in my opinion. Whatever the case, this was a really dope show. Enjoy...

Here's the full 12" featuring the "Now" track that Jay Dee produced. Pretty rare.
Can anyone re-up this if possible?

I may have missed it but I didn't see this posted anywhere.

Dilla produced this lost album from 1998. Proof's on it too. I think it was reissued a couple of years ago.

^ Everywhere I look I see 1998..but yes, it does sound like a few years earlier. I don't know...maybe it was shelved for a while?

And never mind, I don't think it was reissued.

yeah it was definitelty "shelved" (was it even released at all though) but that explains the title - "The Album Time Forgot".
