Buda Hedz - Rapwacks 12" (1994)[320kbps full rip]
Image
(sorry for the fucked up pics, i was using my girl's cell and don't really know what i'm doing with it)
Image
A1. Rapwacks
A2. Buda Sparks
B1. Blunts Come Down
B2. Blunts Come Down (dub mix)
B3. Abbapella

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9HS1S8QC

review/disclaimer: I bought this record for "Blunts Come Down" and was hoping that one of the other tracks might be "Hundred Million Reprezation" but that's actually on their other 12" and cassingle.
Anyhows, I don't really feel Rapwacks or Buda Sparks much, I mean Rapwacks is decent, it has the same sample as Wu Tang's "Tears". But my joint here is "Blunts Come Down". I had it on tape off a wNWK show back around 94 and loved it. Then again, I was only 17 yrs old and still in my "smoke weed all day every day" phase so it makes sense that I would like it. And also the fact that it got play on WNWK and nowhere else(to my knowledge) made it kind of a personal exclusive to me, nobody else had it. I consider not only the song, but also the group, to be a novelty. Something you only revisit once in awhile and usually by yourself as they're somewhat of a guilty pleasure. The sample on "Blunts Come Down" is fuckin great. Some happy dappy summertime jolly weed high shit. If you're so inclined, enjoy!

Verge, thanks for that 12, I'd never heard it but I'm feeling the 'Oh Honey' break!
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

Hah, no doubt fellas, enjoy. I know I left a comment on youtube somewhere where someone posted the sampled song for Blunts Come Down but I couldn't remember what it was.
Thanks for the reminder!

No doubt, aReal, I was playing that "abbapella" while my girl was in the room and she started falling out laughing asking wtf I was listening to. Lol.

If HQHipHop doesn't have them, I can upload the Ultimate Breaks and Strictly Breaks series in 320 if anyone wants them. I just need to convert them. Dusty Fingers too, but I think HQHipHop has a lot of the shit already. I love that Delegation track.

edit-the Delegation track was on Ultimate Breaks. Just so it doesn't look like I'm rambling.

Yeah, I got all the Dusty Fingers and I think most of the UBBs, at least the ones in that complete collection. They can be posted in the Funk, Soul, Jazz, Soundtrack thread. Personally, I think they're the 2 most important and dope break beat series ever. UBB paved the way and Dusty elevated that shit.

Yeah, I agree, UBB was the foundation but Dusty Fingers took it to the next level.

That Delegation sample's got me twisted - I know I've heard it elsewhere sped-up as well. :megaman:

I was thinking more the high-pitched keyboard sample, like at 0:59 here:
<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4EEco7TyWko?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4EEco7TyWko?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

you mentioned sped up so i assumed something like that blue cheese track or that actual track. however, now that you put it in a new light, and i hate to admit this, my favorite use of that sample is total's kissing you which is probably a straight rip off of three times dope's funky dividends
