Rec Center - Lonely People (1999)

Post by Tony Tension »

Here's a dope crew that barely got any shine, these guys remained underground to the bone as far as I can tell! All the beats are very nice, produced by Dj Emmaculate if I remember correct, all the mceez are overall very good, above average I'd say for sure...for most of the part kicking positive, conscious, thoughful and intelligent lyrics...I remember finding out about these guys and about this album around the year 2000 on the old Hip Hop Infinity website, someone from the site had written a pretty good review for "Lonely People". Eventualy I ended up downloading the album the same year and still have it till this day burnt on cd...so I decided to rip the cd and share it with yall, I'd love to hear your comments & feedback...

Nice, nice man!:gyeah: I had this album incomplet in my files, didn't expect someone to post it here on TROY...very solid, consistent and quality album, i like these guys standarts about music...it's not exactly my style, but it sure has good vibe to chill, and on the other hand, it has different points of views and displays of reality...and it's hard to find too...

This album used to be in constant rotation back in 99/00. Consistently good production/on-point lyrics. These cats are from Chi i believe? Mozes Gunn also had a solo debut that was slept on.

I've been lookin' for this single for a while now...some earlier stuff by them:

Good looking out Tony Tension, I always liked that 'Tightest' 12" and never realised they had an album. Thanks for sharing!
