Kev- any chance you have any Three Stripe Posse? I remember copping a mixtape around 95/96..Btw, i might have crossed paths with you back in the day, used to help my boy Tim Stroh with his show over at WNUR when we were in high school. Been a fan for a long time, thanks for upping these gems.

not sure if this ever came out. I did a search on it and nothing came up. I have this tape that I got as a promo or demo for Channel Live before they dropped anything. All the other titles were on the album but this last cut, "Positive over Negative" wasn't on the album (unless it's a hidden track or something). I can't find my CD to verify it. Anyway, it appears to just be a "Down With The Devil" remix, but it's a different beat and lyrics. If you need it, enjoy....

Thanks so much for this song. I loved the first album they put out and thought they were both very good emcee's. I always enjoy hearing unreleased tracks from that era.

This made my day

ah been so consumed with diggin thru tapes to transfer, life, and work that I haven't been posting so here is an fairly big update and I got a few big things coming over the next couple weeks:

!)Perspective Records: I have a tape of one day sitting at Perspective records and the guy there just recording a bunch of stuff for me; Arrogant, Black Spooks, & Mykill Myers. Here's what's on that tape.

a)Almighty Arrogant-his demo I posted was a hit and I just found two more
tracks!! Both two of his better tracks I would say:

red rain: http://www.sendspace.com/file/a2nma2
universal travel: http://www.sendspace.com/file/01y6n9

b)Black Spooks: I'm pretty sure they did work with a live band and the labels idea was to capitalize of The Roots success but these guys were more "hardcore" so they so they would have the college and streets on lock... Don't know if it was the best plan ever but it is some fresh much....

This demo has 4 tracks: End Of The World, Burn In Hell, Day Before Yesterday and Wet Daddy (which is at the end of tape and cuts off...)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/y5i3hr

C)Mykill Myers: He was hanging out with the Western Hemisfear and rocking on the Wake Up Show building a rep. I don't know if these tracks ever got out much. He went on to do a few albums and I did a google and it seems he has been making money doing jingles for coorporations!?! I would have never thunk...

This has: Halloween, Triggernometry, and unknown title

http://www.sendspace.com/file/4lsuvc

2)Incredible Kollagreens: Don't know much about them. I don't remember where I got there tape. They are apparently from Chicago orginally but at this time they were living in Las Vegas. It's a four song demo. I used to play "Core Audience" on the reg. It also has "Paralyzed", "Neva" and "Adrenal Rush"

http://www.sendspace.com/file/1ubmp5

3)Chino XL & Kool Keith-92.3 The Beat (The Joint with Mike Nardone)
Freestyle: This is pretty classic with these two guys ripping over
Latee's "This Cut's Got Flavor" instrumental. Kool Keith is just bugging
out as expected. Chino is killing it with some off the head and ill
writtens. He even threatens to "reveal the true name of God"....ha.
I've always assumed it was this that made 2Pac decide he had enough
of Chino referencing him with his, "I hate Madonnna more than 2Pac
has to say your honor..."

http://www.sendspace.com/file/r0te67

I was waiting to post that one with my Chino XL and Maddskillz freestyle but I can't find that. However, it can be a teaser for a pretty big Kool Keith/Ultra posting I'l be doing real soon... :gyeah:

enjoy....

The Bulk cassette has a couple other variations as well: no Halfsharkalligator, Blue Flowers remix or 1977, but has an Earth People remix and another track called "On Production."

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that it's "Biology 101." I'm sorry to say I no longer even own a tape player, so I can't verify, but I know the one you uploaded was indeed on the cassette and the lyrics talk briefly about biology. Which means I'm not entirely sure what "On Production" is.
'Dropping the skills on production, your mind gets splattered already headed for corruption" Yea,I had that tape, too. I'm pretty sure that 'On Production' was on the og pressing of the Dr. Octagon vinyl, too. Not positive, you know how shit gets re pressed and changed up. And discogs fucks up every once in a while. Oh well.
Verge, could you upload your vinyl rip of Dr. Octagon?
My bad Big Nasty. I took three tremendous music losses in my life. This was in one of the tragedies. :fail:

Damn, I gotta up my "check the damn sticky" game.
I just had to grab a Sendspace account[type expensive, but worth it for all this]to try and catch up.
Thanks Kev.

I put these up for Xav to use on his French radio show so I figured I might as well post them here for anyone who wants up.

These two links pretty much contain all the freestyles I have put up on the Time Travel radio in the past 12 weeks (no demos, just freestyles):

http://www.sendspace.com/file/g5nx5m

http://www.sendspace.com/file/9mugpn

I did those in a hurry so didn't keep track of what is in which link. It just a whole lotta freestyle rapping from; juice, rhymefest, captail d, judgemental, mele mel, king just, o type star, TSP, Percee P, Percee P, Stony Island, Griffen, Dirty MF, SLug, Qualoheem, Mudkids, Grav, Kwest, Vakill, AZ, Ruberoom, Spelany's, Grass Is, Jus Us, Prime, AMC, Dilated Peoples, WC & Crazy Toones, AKbar, Jihad Malik, Special Ed, Matlock, Mr Greenweedz, EC, Cayex, etc...

Oh yeah, I think I included all the time travel promos to so exclusive from Mr Complex, Ab Rude, Mighty Bloodfang, Jackboy & Ajax, Molemen & Fuse, White Collar Criminals, Great Deity Dah, etc....

feel free to use, repost, or whatever but if you could please plug "Time Travel" and the myspace: www.myspace.com/timetravelradio

thanx!
