WKCR - Stretch & Bob - 11/18/92

Post by The Midnight Marauder »

Verge and/or other WKCR heads -

What's the track that begins near 29:30 on the "Stretch & Bob - 11/18/92 - Side A" tape that's been passed around the 'net? (If anyone needs an upload, I got you. Assume most have it, though.)

The refrain runs: "The physical form is forming/forming the physical is transforming"

This one has been vexing me...

Thanks!

MM

^Niiice! I was just in the middle of separating the track and I found another treat on there.
Gimme a few and I'm either gonna start a different thread or bump an old one.

I am pretty sure this is :wutang: related, it goes "you don't know nuttin...you don't know nuttin...mock neck something

It has been going over in my head lately and I know it, but I just can't place the artist.

Loooking for a mid 90's uk beat - please help

Post by scel_one »

Hey!

Ive been looking for this beat already for years, i only have it on tape but dont know exactly who it is from. A friend had this , i think uk hip hop sampler on vinyl with some oldschool graffiti cover and there's this one beat on it with the sample of deodato - univac loves you

heres the sample 0:00 - 0:10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4owtptrY-3Q

this sample was also used for a beat from souls of mischief, but im looking for the beat that was on this 94 or 95 uk or us hip hop album/sampler

the track also got samples from methodman and redman orig. version of "how high"

hope you can help!
thx

Oh fuck, I had this on tape. This shit is dope.
Sorry, no clue. If that's not Mobb, then got damn, heads were biting their style hard back then.
I remember Stretch playing alot of records that were "heavily influenced by Mobb", but damn...

Sounds like a George Benson sample to me. Not sure though.

Yeah, that definitely sounds like a Benson joint.
If not, my second guesses would be Wes Montgomery or Jimmy Ponder.
