I think its listed as "Newark N.J. b/w Ku" on that cover - beat does sound like newark anonymous and massive staff etc. duno tho cant place it. if its a blend, its a nice one. I'd guess the track title was paper chase goin by the chorus but cant find anything. dope track, be good to hear it in nice quality

Thanks both, I did see the cover but the track listing made no sense what so ever...
That is Hostyle rhyming second, so can't be Kamakaze.
You could check if KL says parts of the rhyme on "Orgy Style" of the Kamakaze LP. Too bad dude doesn't know how to rip tapes, because the beat is dope. THX
I'm positive no one will be able to ID this. Marlon's vaults need to be robbed.

Yes, I made a broad assumption that it was Kamakazee based on KL's appearance.
Da Rocks Y’All is on side B of that tape, but this track does not appear on the Head On tape.
Sad by true, I suspect you are correct in IDing this.
Cheers

I've got a bunch of half-mixtapes on my HD that I'm finally getting around to listening to (Big up Tapemasta! LOL) and it's been kind of a chore because there's no track listings or anything. To be honest I'm only really listening to find gems (freestyles, unreleased shit) and have had varying success with that but today I came across something I hadn't heard before and can't find any info on it.
It's from a D-Demo tape from '94 and it's a Nikki D track from when she was down with Flavor Unit. I googled it and Nikki D didn't drop anything in '94 and can't find anything else on it.
The interesting thing about it is that Naughty By Nature is on the hook "Can't nobody hold me, I do my dirt all by my lonely" which as you all know they put out a track in '99 or with that same title. It's a dope track, I've upped it for you in its entirety.
I found it on an old Mister Cee tape and it was listed as "Doin' Dirt" so that's what we'll go with.
Thanks

what up DS!
Ok so i was watching The Warriors for the first time in like 20 years the other day and this quick 3 second sample plays when they show the Coney Island wonder Wheel ferris wheel at night. I couldn't find the full movie on yt nbut found this clip, it's between 3:30 and 3:40
it's just that little sample over and over

Okay this one has stumped all the sample gurus on Soulstrut/DWG it's crazy! I've heard it sampled on several tunes over the years.
I know I first heard it on that Dirtstyle scratch record back in 98 "Turkey Kuts"? So maybe people sampled it off that, but who is the original MC???
Then UK breakbeat producer Krafty Kuts sampled it in this 1998 tune. It's just some mystery rapper saying "Kick it with a little more funk!"
fades in at 1:00 then throughout song

looking for an ID on a track from 1993/94.
Chorus goes 'its the stick up kids and this is how its going down'. Beat is quite funky - rapper sounds kind of Grand Puba-ish (if I had to make a comparison)

Can someone ID this track, sounds like a Firm type freestyle with Nas and Nature. Taken from Dj Clue Fall '96 tape.
Thanks. That riff at the 10 second mark is hypnotic! That alone is enough to make the song great. It did not even need to include the Inspector Gadget sample.

trying to get an ID on a mid 90s party break. Starts with KRS 'buck buck buck booyaka shot!' and uses the same Minnie Riperton sample as ATCQ 'Lyrics To Go'
Westwood used it a lot back in the day so it must be from 93-94.
