Glad everyone liked those demos. I thought some of you had them already. Look out for The Roots Illadelph Halflife demos in April or May, which I'll be posting with the October 1996 Source issue.

So, this stuff was even doper than I expected it to be.

The untitled track is an alternate version of "Understanding The Inner Mind's Eye" (track #2 on the LP).

I'd rank my favorites in this order:

1. Emotional
2. Oooh Baby
3. Understanding The Inner Mind's Eye (Alternate)
4. Final Solution (Uncut)

For anyone that hasn't downloaded this yet, the others are officials (Time Will Tell, The End Is Near, Spontaneous).

All are very good though.

"Oooh Baby" gets better and better with each listen. It might be my favorite this time next week.

Yeah. Am I hallucinating or was there an interview where Charlie Brown was talking about that song being a source of contention between him and Busta? Like it was Busta's idea and he was pushing it hard but the other members of the group were dead set against it?

That rings a bell, although I can't recall where I might have read about it.

If this is the song in question, Charlie Brown is dumber than I thought. It's dope as fuck. Is that another Monty Alexander "Love and Happiness" sample I hear?

The main sample in the beginning is the Crusaders that Godfather Don used for Status and Forever My Lady. And Buckwild for Big L MVP remix #?. And a bunch more, matter fact that's a plan for a future "Who Flipped IT" if there aren't TOO many.

What's the name? I've been trying to figure out what he used for Forever My Lady for a while now.

I'm pretty positive it's in there somewhere. It's a tough catch.
You'll hear other samples you know in there, too. :gyeah:
