East Palo Alto (often called EPA) is a city in San Mateo County, California. In 1992, it had the highest per-capita murder rate in the country. At the same time, their hip hop scene started growing rapidly and reflected the grit and grime of it's surrounding environment. I wouldn't have listened to this back in the day because of my east coast bias.
But there's definitely joints on this.
I like the Rated X, M.O.G., C-Funk, shit most of this compilation is really tight.
