If I disclosed everything im sitting on, youd think I was an arsehole, trust me.

I have EVERY Westwood on Radio One from the first show [Biggie and Puffy Live at the Hammersmith Palais, London, March 95] up until the 2000 shows, in a storage space in Belfast, they are ALL coming back to London in March. NO BS ALLOWED, im not one of those, 'Ah, theyre all back at my Mums' smart-dumb cats !

There are approx 40/ 50 Eighties Westwoods on Capital and a heap of Mike Allen, Dave Pearce/ Richie Rich/ Red Alert/ Park Jams and sessions from random Hip-Hop shows world-wide...

YOU know im happs to share with people, people that appreciate and can converse. There are a few on PF, and as youll be aware, 'Big respect is automatic'...

Sheeeeiiit, now im beginning to dislike myself too. If you have any requests fella, just axe me bruh.... :gyeah:

If you don't mind me asking, could you please rip the Jeru/Ghost/Cappadonna freestyle in full from 96? It's from just before the Ironman lp dropped I think, there's versions that have been ripped but they only have half of it. It may have been in 2 halves on the show or something. Cappadonna did a crazy verse about abusing the English language, pretty sure he's never used those rhymes on a track, it's a mystery.

I would really appreciate that.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

Thanks, I'll check it out, but if it's the version you posted before it's missing that part.

Thanks though.

Nice..... Lovin the disclaimer about the Cash Money/ Ruff Ryders selection, jokes

I have a similar show with Jigga up at Westwoods before he did Carnival with Lil Kim et al, what year was that?

BTW. That 7L mix is FIERCE mate, bit like the recent Cut Chemist mix, but way better - http://hotfile.com/dl/101230109/9db1086 ... 9.rar.html

7L seems to pull out all the best selections, ye dont hear Johnny Royale used in mixes too many times, big respect STEP

Thanks again

Not really a TROY topic, but the Money Making Jam Boys mixtape is available over there at the 10deep website - and it sounds promising.

Yes yes yes! Been a lurker here for a while...

The tape I'm looking for is a Doo Wop mix from Westwood from (I'm using a best guess here) early '95. Kicks off with the instrumental intro of Das Efx "they want efx", before going into a great selection of new stuff and old classics - new stuff is Unbelievable, The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World, Brooklyn Zoo, Bring The Pain etc with old stuff like I Know You Got Soul, Puerto Rico, Nobody Beats The Biz, Jingling Baby etc.

It's an absolutely brilliant mix that me and my mates hammered back in the day, but now no-one seems to have a copy!

Have searched and searched but never found it anywhere on the net. I would guess March 95 but could be a bit earlier.

I can help out with stuff if need be in return... I actually put together the Shoot Tha Pump CD, took Riz up to Westwood in 96, so have a few things kicking about.

Would defnitely be interested in seeing what stuff you have though - did you used to work at Concrete?

Alright man

I've actually corresponded with you before - I sent you the Flex mix from Westwood from 96 that you put up on your blog!

Still trying to sort through tapes and get a good list together of the mixes/tapes I've got.

My mate who I used to DJ with worked at Concrete - I chose the tracks for him (well 80% of them) for the STP album. They were basically what I was playing out at the time - and it was my idea to get Riz to mix it!

Live at the Soul All Dayer (Raiders 1987)

Post by Postie »

Yo People,

I guess this falls into this category - It is a live recording of a couple of hip hop Soundsystem jams from Hammersmith and Acton town halls in London in 1987. As far as I am aware it is the earliest Hip hop live recording ever to come out on vinyl from the UK. It is a pretty unique LP sound-wise - proper old school toasting over random mash ups of everything from Mary Poppins to Eddie Murphy delerious over Funk, Soul and Reggae breaks. .

This is DEEP Postie !

This alblum is rare as hens hind legs fella, I clocked this on yer blog beards ago, much much appreciated

The Pablo Gad Hard Times under Bambaataas Planet Rock is true pioneering mash-up/ mega-mix business, this album was out in 87 right ? And the chat from the MCs is jokes - 'Big shout to Wurzel Gummidge in the dance'

British Hip-Hop history right here !

Yeah it was out in '87 which is proper early for this sort of thing. Thanks for the PM dude - much appreciated!

"Wicked = Genuinely loves Hiphop and respects it because he grew up during the time when it wasn't full of southern mongoloids and Lil Wayne rappers. From his mixes you can tell he knows his shit. The problem is, when you are a smart dude preaching to a bunch of fucking morons, you end up getting singled out as the douche."
