no problem. i went back and downloaded pretty much anything funky on there before they reduced the bitrates in half. there's a huge amount of unique sets/mixes on there.

I've got a couple more waiting to be ripped but the tape player is a bit hit and miss at the moment. Does that thing where it sounds too muffled/bassy and then if I hit stop and then play again it sounds clearer

Have you tried ripping them to MP3 or copying them onto a new CDR ? I've had CDs that been battered and skip when you play them but still copy ok.

Yeh, the majority of em copy the first few tracks but skip alot after that [CDs read from the inside out so that makes sense] but some just wont even copy, and im sittin on some doozies.

alot of them were done on really cheap CDRs unfortunately. African bootleggers obviously more concerned with their P&L margins above all else!
I've got a few that I only played a handful of times back in the day and I've dug them out recently to discover they're covered in scratches or jump loads.
One or two play fine but wont read on my laptop for some reason.
