Thanks for uppin' that Riz mix, wicked stuff. Found this post on your blog: http://djespionage.blogspot.com/2006/09 ... -1997.html

Have you got the whole Hi-Tech compilation mentioned in the comments section? That link is dead.

Like I said, you don't what's on the tapes this kid got. Sure, they played alotta meh shit, but they also played some ill shit.
For example:
G Rock - Follow For Now, and the remix
Inspecta Deck - Let Me At 'Em (og demo where the pianos in the background actually come in)

I can't think of others because it's been so many years, but they definitely played some joints.

haha Thanks man. I have HUNDREDS of old Wake Up Show tapes. Just give me time and I'll upload them here and there. It's just very time consuming cuz I gotta sit there and listen to each tape as I upload it to CD and then to my computer. Not that it's a problem listening to all my old tapes, but I'm also a DJ and wanna listen to my Vinyls, CD's, make mixes, listen to other radio shows (DJ Premier, Future Flavas, DJ Evil Dee, Tim Westwood, Stretch & Bobbito, In Control with Marley Marl, Mr. Magic's Rap Attack, Kool DJ Red Alert, Friday Night Flavas with The Baka Boyz and then later with The Beat Junkies, etc.), other peoples mixes or Mix CD's, etc.

And not to diss anyone else or be on my own dick, but notice I tag the MP3 files correctly!! I don't put my website or blog site in the comments or any lame shit like that. I personally can't stand when I get MP3's and then I gotta go and edit all the properties and remove peoples websites and blog sites and put the CORRECT title and/or artist, etc. It's like, come on people, it's about the SHOW or MUSIC you're uploading, not your site. If I'm uploadiong my own personal Mix CD's or something, then sure, I'll add my website to the Comments Section.

I do appreciate people uploading whatever it is they have in their collection though. I always wanna hear old radio shows that I was never able to hear back then cuz obviously there wasn't no internet streams in the 80's and 90's. But yeah, it's just a pet peeve of mine when the properties/tags are all fucked up or even wrong.

No doubt! You had Tommy Tee doing a show in Norway, but I think that was in the 2k. I used to tune in on Friday's even though I didn't understand a word they were sayin. haha

And I only got to listen to The Wake Up Show and The DRUM with Kevvy Kev, but I know, at least I had something, and The Wake Up Show was one of the BEST shows ever along with Stretch & Bobbito.

haha Cool.

I run my Stereo through my Rane Mixer which then goes to my TDK CD Recorder. This kinda shit has to be done right cuz quality matters to me.
