What was on this?

Some exclusive shit or just the regular '94 dopeness?

Edit:

How come nobody has any dubs (or joints/freestyles originating from there) of the Kevin Keith & Dirty Dozen show from back in the day. Everybody has Stretch & Bob, there's a handful of Martin Moore & Mayhem freestyles floating around but there seems like no KK & Dirty Dozen, or even Hanklove and Halfpint exclusives. Somebody needs to unearth this shit...

Yeah I have a tape or two of Hanklove & Halfpint/Awesome Two from '97 when my brother went to NYC on a school trip. I sent him with a boom box and a bunch of tapes, since they were all on lockdown on the weekend I had him dub me some shit. Not a lot of memorable joints but it was a bunch of obscure cats on Hanklove. I know Po Rich (Rap Iz Gonna Get Hurt) came up and kicked some rhymes. If I ever get the ability to rip cassettes again I'll definitely up that shit.

Probably the greatest mix EVER - DJ Riz (1994 Tim Westwood)

Post by Bongloid »

Some Crazy 4 track mix done especially for the Tim Westwood show.

I remember falling asleep to Westwood on a friday night with my headphones on then he played this.

Being an aspiring DJ at the time and not knowing about 4 track mixes i really didnt know what was going on.

I just had my jaw open thinking how the fuck did he do that.

This is from Riz himself so doesnt cut off like the broadcast mix

Ha..When I first saw this thread, I was gonna say something like Digital Stimulation did.
There were lots of dope underground radio shows back then, not just Stretch n Bobbito, but they were the kings of it.
On 89.1, you had Mayhem & Sunset, DJ Riz, and maybe another show or two throughout the years. the Halftime Show.
On 105.9, you had Hank Love & HalfPint, The Awesome Two, and another one I'm forgetting.
On 103.3, you had Vibes and Vapors.
I could go on and on and on.....
And of course it depended where you lived on what kind of signal you could get, if any.

The thing is that each show had something that a different show might not have. Even if it was one track.
Shit, Hank Love & Half Pint was where I got the G-Rock - Follow For Now cut AND the remix from.
So, unless you've heard the exact tape that panty inspector is talking about, I wouldn't say to NOT rip it. You don't know what might be on that tape. Sure, they played some meh shit, but that's the show that I had the Inspectah Deck - Let Me At 'Em demo version with the pianos in it from.
Just sayin', don't sleep. :cas:

I'll peep this one. I have a radio set he did in '94 on BBC's Radio 1. I'm wondering if this might be the same one although that one is about 30MB and about 31min in length.
