On that Shawn J. Period topic- Thanks for clarifying that. I figured it HAD to be a different cat. Blockhead, I feel you on that "boring" comment about his beats, but personally, I've always dug the real mellow out type shit. Different strokes and all that... And that sucks that he stopped sampling. Being known and going from sampling to not sampling can't be pulled off by anyone. I like what K Def has done since steering clear of samples, but it still doesn't have that same soul nor does it compare to his sample laden productions of the past.

Wow, that doesn't sound like Shawn J Period production at all. Discogs says that it was co-produced by Stretch Armstrong, so I guess that would explain it.

I like that Mos Def beat too.
