Nice, drizzle. :cheers:
I thought about copping that package deal. :pause:
Didn't really have the dough, though.

That Spacing Out album, too. Nice.

so that light on the southside is pretty amazing. probably the best compilation/reissue i've heard all year. mostly on the bluesy/deep soul side, with some surprising detours into lo-fi psych soul. i'm seriously considering buying the thing cause i want the book to look at and that's how much i like the music

Here's a real treat for ya'll.
Trust me on this and download both links, before they get deleted and I get
sued. :lol:
All I will say is that these are two different soundtracks from one new throwback flick that recently dropped.
It took me over 6 hours to rip, fix in audacity, thoroughly label and upload these.

If you download this and decide to share it, please delete my name from it
if it's on there anywhere.

Please don't mention the name of this in this thread.

And cop it if you like and can afford, there's still vinyl and cd's available.

No prob.
Nah, it was on the Skypager for about 10 minutes this morning before I got
an email saying to take it down or be "reported to the proper authorities".

Sorry for sleeping on this thread.
Since this movie was just uploaded, I figured this
companion should go with it.
Movie here, thanks to K-Funk:
http://www.philaflava.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115330

Great soundtrack to a classic, IMO, blaxploitation flick.

Here's a quick list of samples off this album from the-breaks:
* "Brothers Gonna Work it Out"
Canibus - "Niggonometry"
Dr. Dre - "Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat"
Kausion - "Land of the Skanless"
LL Cool J - "Farmers Blvd (Our Anthem)"
Public Enemy - "Whole Lotta Love Goin' on in the Middle of Hell"
Tupac - "Definition of a Thug Nigga"
Young Blaze - "Work It Out"
* "Mack Man"
LL Cool J - "Farmers Blvd (Our Anthem)"
* "Mother's Theme (Mama)"
Cam'Ron ft Brotha - "D Rugs"
Cormega - "Rapture"
Grand Puba ft Sarah Martinez - "Reality Check"
Trife Diesel ft Mike Payne - "Mother Like You"
* "I Choose You"
50 Cent - "P.I.M.P. Part 2"
Allah Mathematics - "Pimpology 101"
And there's more. I haven't heard this soundtrack in a minute so I'll
have to give it another listen and pick out some more samples.

^^Yea, the-breaks, I don't know how they run that site, really.
I mean, they have samples id'ed in their forum from 2-3 years ago, yet they
are not in the sample faq yet.
I would imagine it's tough to keep up with all the id's people add and check
them and make sure they were cleared and whatnot...if they do that.

the forum is def often more informative

i wish they somehow merged with ultragraphik and adapted the model of adding cover art and a snippet of the song

Ultragraphik, that's that "Sampleur'" place, right?
With the pink writing?
Word, they update a couple of times a day and are much more friendly
and cool to look at. They also have a forum, but I haven't checked it yet.

I definitely dig the-breaks forum, though, too. Not often does something I
request go unanswered there. That poster Soulcontrollah is like a sample
encyclopedia. Unbelievable.

Anyway, on with the blaxploitation OST's...

Galt Macdermot - Cotton Comes To Harlem
Image
A1 Cotton Comes To Harlem
A2 Coffin And Grave Digger
A3 Going Home
A4 Sunlight Swinging
A5 Man In Distress
A6 Harlem Medley

B1 Black Enough
B2 Stockyard
B3 The Loving Ballad
B4 Deke
B5 Down In My Soul
B6 Harlem By Day
B7 My Salvation
B8 Ed And Digger

http://nirso.blogspot.com/2009/10/galt- ... arlem.html

Code: Select all

http://sharebee.com/9affaf16
Mostly all of Galt MacDermot's music is killer.
If you don't know about him, start here and never look back.
* "Black Enough"
Diamond Shell - "Same Ol' Song"
* "Harlem Medley"
Masta Ace - "Who U Jackin'"
Quasimoto ft Mr. Herb - "Discipline '99"
* "Stockyard"
Nine - "Fa'eva Blunted"
Quasimoto - "Return of the Loop Digga"
This is all the-breaks has listed for this one, but I swear there was
a Lord Finesse or Diamond D sample on Harlem Medley-
<object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sEqtTBd2eTA&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sEqtTBd2eTA&hl ... 2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object>
Maybe in my brain it just sounds like a Finesse sample?

does anyone have the BLACK DYNAMITE soundtrack....

not the one Adrian younge did but the one with all the old library jazz and funk tracks....

called "Soundtrack From The Motion Picture" as opposed to

"Original Score to the Motion Picture"

supposedly has some amazing cuts from Alan Tew, Hankshaw, Brian Bennett and Johnny Pearson.....

cant seem to find it.....

Also im looking for the soundtrack to the porno Wanda Whips Wall Street....
