Was there ever a crew with as high a profile as Natural Elements, that never even put out a CD release, group or solo?

I was never up on them, probably for that reason, but I had a best of NE tape that was great - but I only acquired it around the end of my tape era. So I would love to see some kind of definitive compilation, whether a legit box set or something, or just something comprehensive to burn

So, what happened with this?
And did you ever find that other version of "Gotcha Heart", ruraloutfitter?

Been looking as well - Didn't find a better version.

Here's a slightly improved version where I've had some of the hiss removed, and tried to improved the vocals...

Did email Traffic Ent. about this but no response!

Been corresponding with Swigga (L-Swift) and the LP won't be coming out on Traffic Ent, but Orchard. No paper work has been signed though, so it won't be very soon...

Isn't that Orchard a digital distributor ?
If it will be some digital/download only release than F.T.
We need some collector edition deluxe one right there!

Not sure, you might be right. Didn't provide any more details.

Agreed, we need something similar to the OLU... I the meantime, we'll have to do with the unmastered CD version, which still got some gems on it.

Honestly - I wasn't really thinking about smth similar to OLU - I don't need all those overpriced vinyl only releases these days....
These are cool - if the demand is there, no doubt, but put it out as a regular price CD for the others as well - vinyl heads are buying those 100 bucks ones regardless....
I was more aiming at some deluxe collector edition CD - similar to the ones Traffic (or No Sleep) have put out with a nice huge booklet with all those comments, liner notes, photos etc + remastered album with bonus audio treats!
It seems we won't be getting that one...

those NE niggas is frontin. they got so much unreleased thats not on the net or that wack tommy boy lp or that complecks compilation. bobbito and jay smooth has it. the cat from no sleep records james dl who put out godfather don 90s sessions, nick wiz, etc has it. im talking about lswift joints like dont sleep and that charlemagne shit from like 93-95. NE could make a killing releasing it since cats always look for it but post the same shit all the time.

i dont know man, l-swift( i dont even like saying 'swigga') and a-butta seem to be doing the 2face thing again, and it seems like Mr. Voo just dropped from sight..maybe he aint down with the ne thing anymore. And thats a shame, except for the fact that swift switched his steez up. I couldnt take hearing swigga on a elements track!!

Word, that Swigga gimmick was disrespectful to everything they stood for.

And, yeah, last year 2Face they had a joint called "Howard Sturn".
It wasn't that bad.

I think there had to be some kind of falling out.
And I would bet that Charlemagne has all the masters.
I wonder what happened to KA...

you buggin verge, i was a NE fan but i dig the swigga shit
Swiggamomics is a top 5 album for 09 for me..theres a good 6-7 joints on that that i listen to often
new swigga songs capture the vibe of NYC without having to take it back to 94 and shit
2face is dope
on a side note...young sneaker head spitters in the vein of lupe, cudi, whoever....are all 2nd rate a-buttas

I'll check what you're talkiing about, but the promo CD I had was from maybe between 2002 and 2004 and it was mostly southern dickrider music.
:shit:
You don't think I wanna hear some more dope from these guys?
I'll check them links now. I had no idea he had anything after the one I had.

This is cool.
Eh. This is aiight on second listen.
Eh. Ozzy sample?
I like this except for that G Funky worm
sound. But that's just my bias showing.
Pretty decent. Except for the hook
sounds like it would fit better on a jayz or kanye song.
I like this one.

I take my apology back. This stuff is just decent.
You can throw this all on a mixtape and it would be just as
disposable as the rest. Keep in mind, I'm not one of the "negative nellies"
around here, either.
Shit, Daydreams>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>all of this
I want to here them over banging or ill smoothed out beats, not these.
That Howard Sturn track ws better than these, IMO.

i agree, better than what i had heard from him. Still think l-swifft is much better than swigga. I got that bias too, when i heard how lame he got, i just stopped checkin for dude. All in all, i always thought A was nicer , Voodoo was the nicest of em tho

i have thrown all this stuff on a mixtape, back in jan/feb this yr and im still listening to all this in september. those were just a few examples but as swigga he put out like 7-8 cds that not a lot of people have heard. some of which sounded pseudo southern, others with ill beats by scram jones and other random ny beatmakers.

IMHO, lswift swigga is a better representation of that classic NY shit that so many acts new and old try to re-capture.

Alotta heads on here want to know whats up with NE, just like me. They've been my all time favorite hip hop crew ever since I first heard them sometime in like late 94/early 95.

I've at least been trying to keep up with whatever I can over the past few years, so I figure I'll share with you guys these links since it seems like some of you might not be aware of them.

A-Butta's myspace page, he checks it/updates it semi-regularly. I've also read in an interview or two that he has recorded something like 7-10 full solo albums over the last few years and he doesn't know why he is not putting them out... I guess he's waiting for a rainy day? lol

http://www.myspace.com/hashboy

Mr. Voodoo had his own website up until recently. It had info about him coming out with new shit, never happened. Here is his myspace page, it seems he hasn't logged onto it since Jan 09 :meh:

LSwift aka Swigga has his own website where he sells all the albums that he's come out with over the last few years, which in my opinion... they all have at least some slammin shit on them. There is also 2 duet albums with him and the unboxable Eddie Brock.

http://agathamusic.com/

also Swigga's myspace -

and the 2Face myspace page -

Not feelin the Swigga material, in fact, the only song I liked by Swigga was Regular Thing (I think its called that) and the beat actually carried that track.

Would love some material from these guys, but I don't think its gonna happen.
