gza - labels (unreleased exclusive remix)

Post by godmc »

okay... so i'm making this a topic because i think it needs attention and i'm sure many others would be interested in the possible result. as we all know, that piano loop remix is of donkey-grundle quality. i know there are a bunch of cats on this site that produce, dj, fuck around for fun with this kind of task (vapo, step one, etc.); which brings us to the request: would someone be able to recreate the instrumental (to the best of their ability) used for that remix, and rock the labels acappella over it? the loop seems simple enough, as does the baseline (i'm too retarded and ill-equipped for it though).

such a great remix, such wtf quality for such a great remix. so, who's willing to provide the masses with that ill-type shit? i'm sure everyone here, as well as those who lurk... as well as those who would mirror it on other sites for everyone else in the world to hear it would greatly appreciate it.

link is dead over there, but it's on a wu mixtape and i believe kimani has it up in a zip file as well. i'd upload it, but my personal computer is dead dead dead at the moment. anyhow, it's definitely worth someone recreating it - hearing clean is a must for the near future.

I'm sure some of ya'll haven't also heard that "Labels" remix - also official and unreleased - done by semi Wu affiliate G-Clef from Ghetto Philharmonic / Soul Kid Klik who runs that Chamber Music label these days :

http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/gclef7

on that CD you can find some other remixes he submitted for Onyx, Gravediggaz + some other early joints he produced - dope compilation overall!

I just ordered it... Always have loved G-Clef's beats. I pretty much own the majority of his material and have been meaning for a while now to order this, but I had just kinda forgot. haha

Btw, how's his other cd Ghetto Philharmonic - The Alternate Masters? I've meant to buy this one too...

I need to buy that too!

I think that the Ghetto Philharmonic Alternate Masters CD is just the Chambermusik Re-Issue of Ghetto Philharmonic - Hip Hop Be Bop(1995). I know that they also did an Alternate Masters for Buddha Monk's first cd.

Ok, cool. And yeah, it kinda loked that way, but with more songs then on the original release. Thankfully I have the original LP, CD and 12" singles from GP...

This is odd. Did you check the Weekly Request Thread?
Anyway, I doubt it's on that record I mentioned.
Sorry.

^Nice, thanks.
Now lets keep our fingers crossed that it may be the right mix.
Never know.
Or at least a different one than what we have, and decent.

Sorry fellas, this not the remix we are looking for:

A1 Kool G Rap - It's A Shame (Shame Mix) [ORIGINAL]
A2 Raekwon - Ice Cream (Remix) [ORIGINAL]
A3 Blahzay Blahzay - Danger (Blah Remix) [ORIGINAL]
B1 Genius - Labels (Remix) [ORIGINAL]
B2 Genius - Labels (Instrumental) [ORIGINAL]
B3 Genius - Labels (Street Remix) [RZA REMIX]
B4 Genius - Labels (S. I. Mix) [RZA REMIX]
B5 Genius - Labels (Acappella)

They are all fat tracks but in the light of what I was after I'm disappointed with this purchase.

I've already have all these tracks on wax, so if any one need these tracks on vinyl happy to let it go for
