I remember reading in RapPages back in the day (94,95,96ish) that he had a demo called "Thought You Was My Man?" or some shit like that, produced by Mikah 9(!). Can anyone verify that and does anyone have it?

Incredible stuff so far. Wish NY had more access to the LA underground shit back then. One of the rare NY radio appearances by the Fellowship when they dropped Inner City Griots:

Thanks, I've been wanting to hear this since X-Clan mentioned them in their liner notes. I never made the connection that Lord Mustafa = Born Allah.

I never knew he changed his name and I thought Born Allah was dope, but like Thun I never made the connection... I used to have that Movement Ex CD and a CD single of their first single "Freedom Got A Shotgun", they are long gone now though.

I don't suppose you have the United Snakes Of America (Marley Marl Remix) please?... I have been looking for that so long.

^^Yeah I always wished they came to NY more (Mikah 9 actually lived in Bed-Stuy for a while). Back then Jay Smooth of the Underground Railroad only had one turntable, so he couldn't do the DJ thing. Otherwise PEACE and the others could've spit more verses.

But I still wonder what it is that PEACE knows is not a word...?

King Born was also an amazing DJ. I always loved King Goes Solo; it's one the best DJ showcases on a record. Of course, he also made his name after Movement Ex as E Rule's producer, everything from Listen Up to One Rule.

Wow, I can't really see how that verse could NOT be taken that way.

Myka was roommates with Talib Kweli when he came out to record some stuff for Island (Sand to the Beach and Fruit Don't Fall + others). Who know's what rubbed off on Talib when Myka was there....

haha Its funny you mention that "PEACE you know thats not a word" because my cousin and I were talking about that. I always thought he said drugatize, like getting high. I mean, there is no right answer considering its not a real word so its open to all interpretations haha. So many revelations came when I heard that verse slower..."Rhymin out of the black corner with purple trunks and gold boarders" damn Lakers colors! hhaha. Or "Rhyme on Rhyyyme bag for a style" like a boxer warming up on his punching bag.

The gem we've been searching for Is Ganjah-K's album on Wild West which was around 92 before Harvest. It was produced by Bird of Western hemisfear and the only song we've heard from it is the Scene of the Green. Sounds pretty epic if you ask me...

I have an album called "Danksta Life" that I blogged about on TROY. Could that be what you're talking about?

No they aren't the same guy. In this article http://ifihavent.wordpress.com/2006/12/ ... ages-1994/
they say they aren't the same person.
