anyone remember this record/group? they were called moonshine before and put out a cd called Weep No More...

as The Anonymous they put out the Green and Gold ep which featured the title track which was one of eminem's more noteworthy early songs.

here is the tracklist for this album from discogs:

1 When We Were Kings
2 Green And Gold [Featuring] - Eminem
3 I Spy
4 Fantasy Island [Featuring] - Last Man* , Zaire Black
5 Dedicated - Scratches - DJ Mark Luv
6 Manifest Destiny
7 Dr. EZ's Cool Fantastic Part I
[Featuring] - Awol One , Erule , Orah* , Jizzm , Jyant , Medusa (4) , Nikko
8 Dr. EZ's Cool Fantastic Part II
[Featuring] - Asop , Divine Styler , Grouch, The , Mystik Journeymen , Neb Love , Iriscience* , Tony Da Skitzo
9 Life

the Dr. EZ is a reference to dj drez who definitely did some cuts and beats on this album. what happened to these dudes?

Yeah man. I was listening to a Drez tape in the car the other day and both "Green & Gold" & "Cool Fantastic Part 2" came on. Pretty dope tunes. Random line-up on that second one though.

Haven't heard much else from the record though...anyone want to up? :gyeah:

The Anonymous aka Moonshine aka Vertigo is: Vesuvio (MC/producer), Able Body One (MC), Mr Zinn (producer) and Dr. EZ (DJ). They broke up around 2000.

I asked Drez a few weeks ago is there any chance to a reunion and he said not too much.
Anyway Vesuvio is working on his solo debut album according to his myspace site, Able hosts a radio show, Zinndeadly still produces dope tracks for various artists and I think everybody should have heard about the most prolific member DJ Drez nowadays (Jahta Beats, his project with Zaire Black and Marty Williams, innumerable mixtapes etc.).

They released four albums, plus three instrumental cds.
Their beats are incredibly dope, IMO Zinn and Vesuvio are one of the best producers in hip-hop (no joke). This could be astonishing at first hearing, but I'll post up their very first LP (only available on I-Tunes) and you will see- rather hear- what Im talking about.

I've got an audio interview with one of the members of that group, he speaks on his recording memories in The Anonymous with Eminem and gives good advice on decisions in pursuing a music career. They are a podcast called thehedrush and they play good underground 90's Hip Hop:

Yeah, it's Able Body One aka JB d'Mulatto from The Anonymous. Interesting story.

Peace to the gawd.

You should write for TROY again. Send me something, if you aren't annoyed with my managerial style.

Nah, I dig the style. I've actually been busy as shit lately but I'll try and submit somethin' when I get the chance to sit down and write something worthwhile. I think I still have a few possible ideas. Now if only I could remember what they were...

Check out Vesuveo's brand new album titled Shine at http://www.vesuveo.com

The first single off the album is Algiers Point featuring Evelyn Harris.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lc8gUsx ... er&list=UL

If some of yall didnt know, Vesuvio was member of the legendary Cali based hip-hop crew The Anonymous/Moonshine along with DJ Drez, Zinndeadly and Able.

After more then 10 years hiatus he released his first solo album in March 2011, which has deserved the praise of Chuck D!

Give a listen to it!
